The problem is that there are quite a few youtubers talking bad about the micro 4/3 system for years now, without knowing how to use it properly and without doing extensive testing. People are very impressionable. Even brands are susceptible to influence. Sales are held back by this series of unfounded opinions and conspiracies that we have been seeing and hearing for a long time and this results in lack of development and fewer products (especially mid-range and entry level). I know photographers who even do weddings with this system. The customer is never going to ask if you use full frame, APS-C or M4/3. What matters to the customer is the results and the portfolio. I see the advantages of Full Frame cameras in certain aspects, especially in dynamic range*. But M4/3 gives me other advantages that interest me more. *With LiveND or high resolution shooting in M4/3 you reach (and even exceed) that dynamic range of full frame cameras. That's what the "influencers" of technology and cameras never talk about.

Love my 10mm. I usually pull it back to F 2.8 to sharpen just a bit .I love the perspective..it's augments my 12/35 F2.8 Panasonic lens. And continues to the 14/140 and my 100/300 Lumix..really covers all my needs .my last acquisition was the 10 mm TTartisans ..I feel complete now..ahhh

I bought the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 for my Nikon Z7ii. I get about 20 mp in crop mode with an effective focal length of 40.5. I love it.

It would be interesting to see a comparison on stand alone ball heads.

I already got a Peak Designs, it's not perfect. But fits into a water bottle holder. I phone holder was plastic it failed after just a few uses. But mor importantly thete no proper ball head, it has limited angles. But with universal adapter I can install a proper ball head or any head I want. But not having it was a big mistake I think. But I got it on sale, it was a good deal. So I don't regret it, I had to get something. But the tripod it self is good. Adding a a ball head won't be an issue for me, it will eb compact enough, height won't be an issue. But they has other flawed products too, like Microclutch and Clutch hand strap, they last about a year before eit tears, seperates.

Hi all. Kind of related since it’s a gift for myself. Looking for an everyday zoom and fast prime for a 40 mp Fuji. Was looking at the 33 1.4 Fuji and the kit 16-50 If I get a weather resistant xt5 or the sigma 18-50 2.8 if I get the xt50. Any suggestions. Any thoughts on if the 16-55 mark ii is that much better. Thanks all.

I would probably go with the Sigma 18-50, and for the prime, I would save the money on the Fuji 33 and buy a 35mm and 56 for a similar price, might even be less, either Viltrox or TTArtisan. The Fuji 33 is very highly regarded though, so can’t go wrong there either.

As a travel camera I would love to see a 4/3 version of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500, with most of the capabilities of the GH7.

I have an X-T3 that I bought in January of 2021 right after Fuji dropped the price of new ones to $999.00. I was looking at the X-H1 actually, but I stumbled on the X-T3 which was a "barely used" one still in the wrapper and it came with the 18-55, extra OEM batteries and some third party batteries as well as an extra charges AND with the Fuji grip(non battery). The price was too good to pass up for what was included. The main reason I was going to get the X-H1 at that time was the better grip. But, since mine came with the extra grip that problem was solved! I still may consider looking for an X-H1 at some point. But, right now I don't want to spend that much on an older body. We'll see! Thanks for all of the information. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Can you guys help me? I'm quite new in photography and I have no idea if I can use for example this same lens on my Canon 800D crop camera? I'm not really educated on the mount topic so I don't want to end up buying something I can't use...

Your rationalization around five minutes into the video, that “old men” are into micro four thirds, is a caricature of a comment as anecdotal as that youngsters are more into film cameras today than any other segment of photography!!! What does that tell you about full frame? Who does that leave you with?

You are incorrect about the facts at ~2:00. Companies usually sell off their most valuable properties not the least valuable, which seems counterintuitive, but is nevertheless the way they behave. Just look at the history of every company that did just that!

Still very biased as it ignores f/2.8 aperture is more or less the standard for zoom lenses in both form factors. Once you start buying f/1.2 exotic lenses in apsc you can approach full frame performance but there is no matching in apsc for ff 1.2 or 1.4 lenses. The biased will again say the same is true from medium format to ff, which it is. But the ff user base is so much larger most exotic lenses in ff have no counterparts in mf. In short, ff is the best value to be had for the pro and enthusiast. If you stick with the kit lens stay with apsc. Or just keep your phone better and don't buy an slr.

The Jintu AF 27mm f/2.8 appears to be essentially the same lens: same 6/5 lens diagram, same 52mm filter, same 0.3m close focus, same 170g weight. Both brands use nano coatings. The Jintu is available in two mounts: Sony E mount and Fujifilm X mount. On the Jintu, 2 of the 6 lens elements ard extra-low dispersion, a feature I couldn't find in the 7Artisans description on Amazon. I assume that 7Artisans' AF 27/2.8 for Nikon APS-C is likewise the same lens though it looks sleeker and takes a 39mm filter.

I mean if you are using the slide from peak design the strap should be in the right position under the camera if you're using over the shoulder. So the shutter button should not be going over your hand like that.

Topcon Topcor lenses are the best of vintage classic lenses in SLR. They were more expensive than Nikon in 1963-1975 and better.

Australian viewers should be warned that when buying this lens Pergear used "local" courier Needletail Logistics. This company is seriously one of the worst couriers out there, just check their google reviews. No notifications, no responses to queries, no depot pick up....nothing. My lens has been sitting in their Sydney depot for 6 days now with no end in sight. Pergear should dump these clowns.

You are forgetting we live in a world where many people make easy money and that’s the crowd that this is for. If you get paid by the hour you have to be smart with your money, and the X100 isn’t it. Besides one of the biggest benefits of mirrorless is the ability to use so many vintage lenses with the purchase of cheap adapters, you would be nuts to limit yourself.

I am in USA and have a E-P5. If I could walk in a store and buy an E-P7 I would buy it today. I can find them used on eBay, but would really like a new one. Especially with the used ones are selling for same price, or more, than new. And Yes, I fit that older guy stereotype. Wisdom comes with age, THAT is why we buy M4/3.

People often forget about the lenses. For any amount of money, if I need to choose between an expensive top of the line FF camera and cheap crap third party lenses and a M43 camera but with good lenses like OLympus Pro lineup or Panasonic - Lerica lenses I will get the inferior camera and better lens set EVERY TIME.
