I bought my X-H1 2 months ago as a replacement for my Nikon gear. Took it on my vacation to the ocean and can't describe how happy I am with this camera! * No issues with AF (son rush on the ocean waves) * Great colors (no RAW correction required) * Weather sealing (several times waves cover me with the camera) * Bright screen and excellent EVF * Much lighter than my Nikon camera Battery live is the worst thing in this camera, yes. But it's only one cons for me.

How do these mounts (carabiners) scratch the camera? After all, both in the bag, and at the moment when you take the camera out of the bag, and when you carry it on your shoulder, the carabiners have contact with electricity, they hit or rub against it.

Do you think its worth it to invest in more expensive lenses like the viltrox 13mm 1.4 or the 27mm f1.2? I dont want a big lens collection and I never tried manual focus lenses

Agree with everything- except autofocus. The AF sucks, sucks bad- I'm talking single point, direct sunlight, stationary subject, no excuse bad! That said, when it hits (or on MF), the IQ is... lovely! My 14mm Fuji lives on it- corner to corner absolute excellence; wish they'd update the 18mm f2 wanker. Yes, I know the 1.4 is optical excellence personified- but it's too big, too heavy, too pricey...

With all the manual focus lenses you use, do you have any videos where you really go into detail about your techniques for getting sharp focus with a manual focus? I was fine with manual focus when I had old school SLR cameras with a prismatic focus reticle. But, I seem to have a hard time with just focus peaking.

Thanks for going over all these! I've bought several budget lenses at your suggestion and you've never steered me wrong. One lens I'd add to this lineup: the 7artisans 35mm f1.4 for APS-C, which might be my favorite budget lens. It's under $70, has great bokeh, and is pretty sharp wide open. I don't have the TTartisan 35mm f1.4, so I don't know how it compares, but the 7artisans 35mm is my go to lens for low-light as well as walkaround photography when I want to get a bit tighter than my TTartisan 25mm f2.

I have several of these lenses, and my biggest regret is the Risespray CCTV lenses. You might get a good one, or you might get a piece of crap. Mine is in between. TTArtisans 27mm 2.8 here. As long as you are OK with heavy vignetting in the widest two stops, this lens is amazing. On the ZVE-10 it is very small and light so I am more likely to carry this camera on a whim and take a lot more photos.

I just re-tested mine. It's actually the second copy I have owned of the lens, the first one was soft in the center, and I got rid of it, but just bought it on Z mount. After reading your comment, I tested the lens on the chart, and sure enough! VERY sharp in the center, wide open! Thanks so much for correcting this. My original copy was one of the first ones off the line, maybe even a demo copy, so I suspect it had some flaws. I excited to re-test and make a new video about the lens now!

It's funny to me how pro photographers get obsessed with all the details. I've only been into photography for about 3 months though and I almost got into APSC cameras too but decided to go full frame for digital video instead and get an Epson V850 scanner for 35mm and up to potentially 8x10 analog photography So I'm getting an Olympus Pen FT (35mm half frame), Nikon F5 (35mm full frame) and a Nikon Z6 ii (4K digital video). With adapters I can use Nikon AF-S lenses with all of these cameras. I'm so exited about it!

The best thing that holding MFT system as it is, is that there is no advancements or updations from Full Frame. Its common in every business. There is nothing wrong in MFT objectively. But manufacturers will favor the new trends. If another system comes ahead of FF, that will push the hierarchy to the Oblivion. Eg. The mobile technology CDMA<GSM<2G<3G<4G<5G<6G. As technology / system brings new meaningful upgrades, the older system and devices will be moved beyond the backdrop.
