Hello there I’ve been following and watching our videos absolutely love them great DIY‘s appreciate all the knowledge you shared with the Bmw community. I’m currently running into an issue when installing the N20 map sensor. I did the Harness swap as you showed in this video then go into my JB4 Mobile and select 3.5 n20 map sensor. I also have a back in flash through MHD but when I go to rewrite that map in mhd it will not allow me to select the map sensor sense it is only a back end flash. So I have to select it in my Jb4. but when I go to start my car it’s acting as if it nothing was changed in the Jb4 and car ideal like crap could this be do to the fact that I have a back end flash and it does not work with a mhd back end flash and Jb4 working together or do I need to ditch one or the other sorry for the long comment just looking for an answer from a reliable source look forward to hearing from you thanks again

Sounds like you're not targeting more than 18.5 PSI so you should be fine with your stock map sensor. You have the supporting mods to make going to around 21.5 psi worth while. So if you're considering that and want a custom tune then you'd want to the N20 map sensor. Are you running ethanol?
@allenmessi46365 жыл бұрын
Vehicular DIY no just stage 2+ w 93 pump gas, it lays down 440rwhp, kills a scat pack and I've beat a stingray before, i don't think it would be wise going any higher as i am a high school student and i can't afford new turbos
@VehicularDIY5 жыл бұрын
440whp on pump gas is awesome. Yeah then the N20 sensor won't really add value without the custom tune. If your stock one goes bad then might as well upgrade it just incase but otherwise you should be fine with the stock sensor. I'm going to start with a tune up to 22 psi then I'm going to upgrade my turbos but mostly for the channel. Not sure how much longer this will be a practical daily but I want to show you guys what can be done with the platform.

Do you have an email address you could share? I would like to talk to you about Log Dyno. I have also added a new feature so it is not only for measuring performance, but optimal shift points can be calculated with a press of a button. With the stock twins we run out of torque up top, so you need to shift earlier but it differs in each gear and depends on the torque curve and gear ratios. This can be calculated to achieve the best possible acceleration.
