No, this is a TMAP swap to be able to read higher boost. The sensor also reads temp. Curious why you would think this is the the MAF? Thanks for watching!

Hey man.Did you run into any issues with your xdi 35 hpfp making noise on start up and driving with relation to your tune?

Yes I have. It's a common issue that the XDI35 will start screaming at idle with higher fuelrail pressure. If it happens it is because it is sending fuel from the rail back through the fuel pump. It doesn't hurt anything, and is safe to drive, but sounds terrible. That's why I got in touch with Pure Boost Tuning. To fix that very issue.

@@reonlawson9764 yeah I have. It seems to be a fine line with tuning to keep it from doing that. I am still working on tune revisions and it comes back from time to time. It goes away now once the car is warm when it does come back, but I just let my tuner know and he addresses it. It seems that outside air temp has a lot to do with it. Extreme hot or extreme cold tends to be when it shows up

Hey I recently installed a vrsf charge pipe on my m235i n55. I keep getting code p00bd. Not getting full tq all the time. Getting full 320 hp. Just wondering if it’s my maf messing up or bad pipe install.

Car is maxed out with all mods pretty much. PS2, meth, XDI35 HPFP, N52 cam, etc. Check out my other videos. I hit 28.4 psi yesterday for a sec on a new tune revision. We obviously are turning it back down. Should dial it in around 23psi I assume for 575whp

Btwillia's Garage I wanna build my car like this man. What’s 575whp feel like on the f30?? What are examples of a few cars you’ve pulled on? I’ve had my f30 for like a year and just started doing serious power mods now. Kinda wishing I got an n54 lol, pretty wild how we have to add cams, turbo and fuel pump just to break 550 wheel. I have pwg too so it’s even harder haha.

I did not, I believe the repin is only for the PWG N55. You should be good

Yes or you can make your life easy and order the kit that is plug and play for the N54 conversion. Turner Motorsports has one. Just map sure it's the TMAP sensor if you order that too from them and your good

Good piece of information to know, Changed back to my 2.5 bar atm, however which vehicle can we get the 4 bar off of do you know, is it the S55 engines ? Thanks again

Your tuner will let you know. You just can't read past 25 psi I believe

@@BtwilliasGarage I’m trying to figure out why I have codes p0172 & p00bd.. I swapped my turbo valve so was wondering if this messed with the airflow .. I have a stage 2 AGG bm3 tune with bms intake .. the car runes fine though

@@SeanMichaels23 I see. I would definitely log a pull and send to a reputable tuner. Those issues can be annoying. I did the GFB diverter valve when I installed PS2 turbo and charge pipe meth and never had that issue.

It's hard for me to comment since I have not checked one out in person yet. I have heard that you need an experienced installer since the kit can leave a little to the imagination (parts store trip needed). Seems to make good power though. Tell them to send me one and I'll throw it on and do a complete review, evaluation and torture test.

But why just replace the pre boost/charge pipe tmap? Doesn’t really help to have that sensor able to read higher boost if your map sensor isn’t able to read higher boost lol

Fact check me here, but this is what I found during my research. The map on the intake man measures vacuum. It is capped to about 2.7psi positive. The tmap on the cp measures boost (this is what shows up as boost mean on mhd logs) and charge temp. Based on boost mean and boost target, the ecu adjusts throttle and computes boost, which shows as boost in logs.

Btwillia's Garage I don’t think that’s how it works at all. The map sensor is the exact same sensor as the sensor in the chargepipe, it sees and reads the actual boost in the manifold that passes the throttle. MAP PSI is the value read on the map sensor with bootmod3 and is considered the actual boost. You would absolutely need to swap both sensors to dial in boost higher than 21.7, what is the point of only being able to monitor pre throttle boost values higher than 21.7 when the dme is using the map sensor values to do the bulk of the work for adjustments. You might even end up getting a bunch of codes thrown by only changing the one sensor

@@BtwilliasGarage @theweaponslocker is onto something I am also thinking about. Have you ever gotten into this and figure out if we need to change both pre-throttle TMAP along with the Manifold mounted MAP? I think they need to both agree or else you should be getting air mass plaussibility codes.

I think the ECU Will have reported something was wrong if both map sensor needed replacement. On the video he actually show that replacing only tmap on CP worked it read higher. No need to do both
