Yeah, seriously.... I started going through some of their videos, including some of their more recent ones, and it's just painful watching how fucked up all of their creations are and the way they treat their cars. Even the channel "Boostedboiz" (spelling?) has a lot of younger guys doing relatively low budget builds or little silly projects like their recent motorized shopping cart, but they at least seem to be learning along with the audience and improving along the way. I also rarely see them do things that are just flat out stupid too, mostly just low budget silly stuff. Haggard just reminds me of high school delinquent BS.

totally agree, haggard wont listen to people who gives them tips or point them in the right direction and doing the job right in the first place, ive read comment on their channel from people in the know, trying to help them and give some tips from years of experience, only to be insulted and told where to go. they put image before everything.

Trevor, you should get a vented catch can. Remove the pcv valve and install the largest fitting possible, or if you're ok with removing the valve cover remove both fittings, drill out those holes and weld in bungs for larger diameter hose, run that to a large vented can. Those recirculating cans don't filter out all the oil

I have had my oil catch can installed on my truck for years now & it does a good job. I have it routed to both sides of the engine w/ a "T" & run to each valve cover. I check it & drain it every time i do an oil change. It traps the small amounts of condensed oil/fuel vapors that would have normally been routed back into the IM & helps keep the end end of the engine cleaner. It's a Great Mod IMO!

I liked the diy style video and it was pretty informative. Wouldn't mind seeing a budget street/track build with more stuff like this. Finding, buying, modding, and then racing a car on a set limit with a bunch of diy stuff along the way would be awesome. Something front or rear wheel wouldnt matter. Do a few hot laps stock, then mod and do a few more to see how the performance changed. Keep up the killer content.

I have the same exact catch can on my 2016 Silverado 5.3L V8. These cans are a MUST HAVE especially with Direct Injection engines now. In NJ the crazy changes in temperatures like now (85 during the day 38 at night) cause me to empty this can about every 2 months. I get about half a water bottle full of sludge / oil and water contamination ( so approx 8oz). Its good to know that this crap is not going back into my engine and gumming up my intake valves and causing unwanted carbon to form. This catch can does pay for its self, especially if you plan on keeping your car for a while, and keeping it internally healthy.

From the reading I have done you definitely want to run these on the JZ to prevent excess block pressure which can be relieved via the FMS problematically. Especially on the GTE motors the port is so small you really want vacuum to help pull out the pressure. My friend has that exact same unit and I am not a fan. He pulled it off after a while and it just had milkshake all along the perforated holes. That divider should really go down further to really force the oil to come out of vapor.

Have you ever taken a look at the vibrant e-vac scavenger kit?? Its a -10 fitting that goes into your intake and has a slot cut into the fitting. The slot is supposed to create a suction on the lines and help pull vacuum from the crankcase.

Old American cars either just use a baffle or American drag racing and other sports with carbed V8's stuff similar to that will vent threw a tube right out the headers. Because a header will use a scavenging effect or vacuum effect.

How important do you think it is to have a vacuum source for the catch can (like a recirculating system like you did, hooking it back into the intake). On my builds I've always just tapped AN fittings onto the valve cover and vented to atmosphere. Disregarding emissions, would the vacuum source be necessary for the catch can to successfully relieve the crank case pressure? Or is a filter venting to the atmosphere ok?

I Have been interested in cars since I was a kid and built up knowledge over the years, 21 going on 22 now; however I have yet to still drive one, gotten a license or had the chance to work on one, so I don't have any practical experience with them , so please excuse my inexperience. Because of that, I think missed something in the video but, what happens to the oil that has been condensed and caught in the catch can ? Does it eventually just get full and you drain it out ? Re use it ?
