Do You Remember The Iverson Mall in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland?

The Shops at Iverson is a shopping mall located at the intersection of Branch Avenue (Maryland Route 5) and Iverson Street (Maryland Route 458), in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland, just north of the Marlow Heights Shopping Center. Originally named Iverson Mall, it was the first shopping mall in the Washington, D.C., area to be built fully enclosed and climate controlled.

From 1972 through 1976 I grew up in the townhouses behind Iverson Mall. Those original anchor stores were still there. We use to hangout in the mall after school. We remember the fountains and the Planters. Some Great childhood memories there. Heartbreaking that the area is a High Crime area now. In the 70's it was Safe to be a kid there.

You really need to “do” my suggestions 😀. I think that you covered Randall Park Mall, but it might be a good time for a reboot on it. I remember going there in the 1970’s on Black Friday, long before it was known as Black Friday. I remember eating at York Steakhouse (also a good idea for a video), which is ironic since I live 2 miles away from the last remaining one.

Please be patient, I try to give every channel a chance to have at least one of their suggestions made. I have over 100 mall requests as well as 400 requests for restaurants, TV stations, amusement parks and department stores. I will probably be working on your Randall Park Mall suggestion soon and it will be released at the end of MArch. Remember, it is just me and it takes me 4-6 hours to make a video
