Do You Remember The Sears in Burbank CA?

The Sears at the Burbank Town Center opened in 1991 and would close in December in 2022. But wait, the Sears would open again in October of 2023. Here is my visit to the re-opened store.

I remember exercising on the bikes, I felt so lucky that they were allowing me to do so!!! I remember walking through the clothes sections and toys sections pointing out hot finds!!! So many memories that are staying with me ❤️❤️

As someone who once lived in Burbank California from 1984 to 2018 but on the other side of the freeway and railroad tracks I would like to point out that the Golden Mall was an outdoor mall that was where San Fernando is located between Magnolia and Verdugo. It was never located at First and Magnolia. In fact when I moved to Burbank in 1984 the north east corner of First and Magnolia used to be the site of a boarding school that had closed down before I moved there. I used to walk past the closed down boarding school every day for years until it was finally demolished and the new shopping center built in its place.

I Hope They Do Not Close Again. If This Store Remains Open, It Should Be Independently Owned

I am so surprised to see a Sears store again. I thought they permanently closed. It still definitely gives old vibes. I remember when they started carrying the Kardashian clothing brand which did not last long either.

Me too it’s so surprising even though the store looks still as empty as it always has been. But in reality it’s great because it shows just how much Sears still wants to make an effort with they’re brick and mortar stores, and it just shows that they really don’t want to give up despite having only 12 stores left. Let’s hope more Sears stays this way for many years to come. I always feel like Sears always dodged a bullet and since 2019 I have always said this is the year Sears will go out of business but here we are in 2024 and Sears is still holding 12 stores. I wish the best for Sears Roebuck & Co 😄
