Imo Nintendo lost their gimmicky side with the switch. Games like these are a little silly and shortly entertaining. That's alright. It makes the game into a regularly played minigame and is beloved for its uniqueness. This is an approach that I'm missing with the switch which shows itself in the lack of minigames, like mii plaza, functions, like street pass, and the rare use of miis.

I like the look of this game alot, i wish we had more innocent walking games like this. no motive to encourage you other than you can see how other people are doing too and have a visualisation of what you've done. I use my 3ds as a casual step counter, just want to see what i do, so i wish there was a game more like that on there.

Wii Fit U has a mode dedicated to this kind of thing; you could try that if you have a Wii U.

I still play this "game" everyday. It such has a fantastic presentation. Unlocking the puzzles was so much fun. I wish it had more to it but I will still continue to play going forward.

I wish there was a mini device that let you use your switch like a 3ds with streetpass and step counter. Then when you get home you would upload that day's info onto the switch and use it in game like mii plaza. Saves you lugging the switch around as it isn't that portable and gives you some of the charm of the 3ds back

also a little fact about the game cartridge itself, some people thought theirs were faulty and not an actual ds game, but as you mentioned, it was because it needed to be transparent to read the activity meter.

I remember getting the game on clearance as a kid. I recall the only reason I wanted it was because I wanted to use the games mii maker then I was hooked on the game by its charm and remember trying to see all the animations I could by taking steps until I lost interest

i remember using this game everyday to go to school ! I wanted it in the first place because they were showing dogs on the jacket of the game and I thought it was a Nintendogs game... Still loved it

I like Walk with me: Do you know your walking routine? a lot, I kinda fell off from using it actively recently but I first got it last year and tried to keep a perfect green streak going all the time (that started to fail towards the end due to stuff partially out of my control). Gotta get back on it... I got this at a game store that sells both used and new games, I believe I got an used copy, because c'mon. One of the only DS games with Miis in it? Comes with a random peripheral? 5 euros??? It would have been dumb not to get. Never expected to love it as much as I do, though!

I’m still lucky that I actually found a new, unopened box of Personal Trainer Walking with two Activity Meters at the big thrift store a couple of hours away from me. There’s a huge shelf of old DS games there and there is where I’ve found a lot of games that I bought that are AMAZING. And I’m mainly talking about Drawn to Life 2, that’s where I’ve found it lol Yeah! Yeah ok I ramble on about stuff. Anyway I’ve been trying to get the meters to sync up to my 3Ds in all directions of NFC spots (I guess) and it’s not working. Do any of you own a 3Ds and got the meters to work? I need to know, thanks!

First thing, I love this channel ! Second thing, is the european cover not simply the japanese cover left unchanged ? America has a tendency of changing covers when importing games more often than europe, and the frutiger aero-ness of the EU cover really has a "DS-era Nintendo" feel to it, so I think it's likely the original one

It is closer to the original than the American design, however they did change it a little bit. They added the (imo) very nice flowing lines in the sky

I actually own this game and I use it every day. My pedometer is in my pocket right now and I register my stats every night. Makes me feel better. Also, why is the European version named “Walk with Me”? Why not use Mii considering it’s one of the only games that uses Miis. Genuinely a stupid name
