Personally, I like the tour pack, and keep mine on. If you take it off, it looks like a million other bikes, but everybody has their own taste.

According to the stats, the limited is an inch taller and about 50+ lbs. heavier than the RG. After owning tow RGs I got a limited thinking it was no big deal. Well I was wrong, that extra inch and 50 lbs. made a huge difference for me at low speed and parking control. I'm installing legend 12" shocks and taking the TP off (detachable) hoping to regain low speed control. Love the bike on the highway.

Nice and instructive video. Where did you find the black parts to fit the empty space left on the bike with the tour pack removal? You said into a local delader. It is a Harley Davidson acessory? Thanks

Since making the video I’ve learned that those fillers come with the touring models without tour packs and the service department often carry those when they remove from bikes on set up. The part # should be available virtually on the parts diagram. I will look up and repost here in the description area once I find out. It’s factory though. My new bike came with a set that I removed but they were color matched and plastic that just drop down inside slots. My email is [e-mail]. The plugs, when tucked under the seat, are there any plugs or covers you can put on them?

Yes. There are plug covers that one can buy but I don’t know numbers. I even had them fit in there with my side fairing since mine pop out.

Hi Chris! So on your road glide, was the Advanblack dominator fender a plug n play install? Or did you have to get wiring splitters being that the turn signals are on the tour pack when you buy them from the dealership stock?

I’ve had QD and I actually have the bracket and parts at home from another bike but I like the hard bar and bracket. I don’t take on and off enough. Probably won’t put it back on since I have the tour pack on other bikes.

Is it easy to put the tour pack on and off by yourself or do you need two people to do it?

Hi. One person job. Over time I ended up just getting the normal docking type. But this was temporary solution. I’ve added tour pak kit with locks. So still easy but I don’t have to break out tools and remove saddle bags now. It was cheaper in this video and if you don’t do it often it’s fine but I remove tour pak a whole lot.

Oooh. I didn’t think about that aspect. The other issue is that since it’s a limited it has all those wires from the communicator, CB, Speakers, lights, antenna, cigarette lighter, and volume up and down button. Wondering if they would all show. In the factory set up I have now the wires are hidden with the factory bracket housing and even snap to this framing. I am going to explore it and see if that part that hides the wires can stay on. With you mentioning it sits lower, it has me considering. I’m going to try it. I appreciate it once again.

You don’t slam the Goldwing trunk. You should close it to latch and then press down to secure. I have both a Goldwing and HD. I agree with you about the difference in ride.

Dont slam on the tour pack of the GW. Move your hand to the lower area then above the latches just push down
