ALL good things come from God, no matter what path it takes, or where it comes from. Try to have the spirit of gratitude and appreciation in you as much of the time as possible. This is what the Rabbi is telling us here. I agree.

This is quite an issue because when you have been subject to such curses the last thing on one's mind is to joyfully serve Hashem...you might force yourself to repent and do the commandments, but feeling gratitude is something that can't be forced. Many of these transgressions happen in the first place through no personal fault but being simply raised in a certain culture and having those divergent patterns and habits imprinted. You can be born with these afflictions and curses and have no memory of it being otherwise. The natural inclination to this is resentment, not joy.

so if you spend a month going to Jerusalem and back to take your first fruits. what happens to the rest of the fruit? that matures a little later but a month later it might be too late. Or is this talking about the first years a Tree produces when you are not supposed to take from it. ?????

Grammicley? Rabbi, I am sure you mean grammatically. It is interesting how HOLY and PRECISE is the Lashon HaKodesh and yet so many Jews do not even care to get things correct in other languages. I find it funny, haha funny.
