It looks to me like the adjustable anvil is missing. I would find out the replacement price and then let the customer know and have the choice to replace it

Do you mean to replace the anvil, the blade, or the whole tool? I'm fairly certain there wasn't any original piece missing from that tool.

Yes, I sharpen the cutting blade on my Tormek. I ensure the blade is ground flat before putting the final edge on the cutter. Can be a bit time-consuming but the results satisfy the customers and that's the most important part. 🙃🙂🙃

Yes I do. Clean them, sharpen them and oil them.

@@capnmatt41 once in a while, I sharpen it as even as I can and inform my customer that it may be time to replace

Seems like you could get a nice straight edge with some careful hand sharpening with a flat file?

Maybe so, but maybe not as well and then you spend a lot of time chasing it.
