He definitely was one of the worst defenders in the league for a few years, which was baffling because he's athletic as fuck. He's picked it up on the Warriors for sure, but people definitely went at his neck because they weren't winning enough for him to mail it in on defense and his contract set up those expectations.

Yeah defense has definitely been lackluster but to me it seems more by choice rather than lack of capability, I’m sure he’s felt no motivation to defend at a high level when his team was in the lottery his whole career. He’s in the perfect spot to learn how to take the next step to becoming the star he can be. And there’s no way Draymond is gonna take any lack of effort on that end of the floor, so accountability will be there.

Not even lowkey. He started the season looking like one of the better scorers in the league. Remember for a month or 2 he was in the MIP discussion. Around 26 a game on decent shooting and they ran him at the point a lot more. Even when he slowed down and was around the 22 a game it still looked good, stopped talking so many long 2s. That’s the worst part of his game.
