My mom hated my looks at one time and it wasn't bc I was ugly (she never said either) she just went through this phase after the divorce where she became a total bully, I guess to try and be the man of the house or something. I didn't care about my looks that much, but it was still a huge blow to my self esteem on top of the fact that she was always mad about the way I acted or grades, altho - in hindsight - I was great in those areas. She would look at my hair and tell me it looked like straw, told me I needed bangs, gave me this snarl when she saw me changing my shirt like my body was bad.

@MadisonRhea I think you should always look at both sides of the coin. The way she used male ego makes us feel attacked because yes we have some, but it is no different then a womans ego. April is right with how we might not see the person who we love as not as attractive as they might be, but that is only partially assigned to your sex. That's why there are such reactions. A lot of guys (including me) just really don't like that kind of stuff.

Vaishnav Negi That’s a myth bro, that’s not how genetics work unless the women had another mate that she’s not saying lol. Let’s not forget that the word “attractive” is subjective, if two unattractive people had a child than their going to produce the same results. Children receive their genetics from their parents, the results of those genes don’t change unless their was an unspoken equation in the mix, if you catch my drift.

@@asanti3748 That's not a myth. You carry the genes of your ancestors. The same way people can inherit height, color of eyes, color of hair, or even facial features from their grandparents but their parents had none of those features. It happens all the time.

@@massojupiter3436 Yeah I see what you’re saying, but the convo has to do with the surface not genetic inheritance of some internal feature you’ll develop in life. So the likely hood that you’ll look like someone’s else’s in the a family is very short. You’re more likely to look like mom or pops or both. So when to unattractive parents produce a child than yes, you’re child will look like you. But agains that’s all subjective it’s doesn’t matter.

I know personally of cases where parents let their daughters stay home longer than their sons, boyfriends that pay for all their living expenses, or if a girl complains on social media there's dozens of people flocking to give support. There's other examples but i'm 22 and i live by myself and if i fuck up i'm just fucked theres no girl thats gonna pay for my living expenses or family thats gonna coddle me if shit gets rough. Thats just how it is living as a dude. Do girls have their own problems sure but doesn't make what i'm saying any less true. Infact a study was made that showed when a boy and girl cried as children the parents would make sure the daughter was ok first. Its just a thing its not their fault its like that it's just built into us as humans to cater to women first thats why we let men get slaughtered in wars to protect women and children, we're just more disposable societally

A man act different as a "father" than " a boyfriend" or " lover", "husband"... as a father, he wants to make sure that you'll have no one else to depend on and nobody can humiliate you for a few bucks. Even if you're the most beautiful girl, he'll want to make sure that you'll get other things than your good looks to rely on. These dudes aren't fathers and if they become one, I hope they're not mentally unstable (narcissistic or smth) to relay such feelings to their daughters.

Two months later, she left the house, and to this day has never seen or spoken to him in 25 years. She has a lovely family now who love her. Her father wants to see his grandsons but she refuses. Negative, studies show successful women do not like to “date down” if their partner makes less. How in the hell Is that not ironic!? It’s okay for a guy to date a broke gold digger, but women will absolutely not date down. That’s why Adele’s situation is so sweet, her dude is taking half her wealth and females absolutely hate the idea and think it’s unfair.

I understand where you guys are coming from and I agree that you have to give the best for your child. I agree that good looking girls have better job opportunities when it comes to travel, business, entertainment...etc. For those who are fathers or soon to be fathers it is your role to give your daughter a fighting chance at life. But, you shouldn't start planning your daughters plastic surgery or improve her problem areas. Teach her grace, introduce her to different cultures, enhance her critical thinking, teach her humility and how to respect people and let her experience the importance of hard work. I think having these qualities will transcend the idea of having good looks. It will also repel guys who will love there daughter less because they find there daughter ugly.

Julienne Crispe I agree with your comment for the most part, i think it’s 100% a parents responsibility to ensure their kid finds their way and selves in life to the best of your abilities and that basically means a lot of positive reinforcements. But at no point did I think they were insinuating in any way to get your kid surgery, also take into consideration that their comedians so you should really take what they said with a grain of salt. well i think it's even worse to make someone feel ugly instead of letting them know straight up..for example my mother used to always tell me as a kid and teen that I don't look like her at all.. if people say we do she would say "no way, not at all.. look at her nose" and so many times she'd ask me "would you like to have a nose surgery".. and then some days she says "you are looking pretty" which I never ever believe and just shrug it off😊 she talks about her youngest sister to people alot and always says "her beauty is out of this world, she is perfection".. i love my aunt regardless and my mom too and am never jealous but I resent my mother and the things she said have killed me over time.. even though she worked hard and she is great, it's something I can't forget..The lesson: your child will love you for how you make them feel about themselves not for what you do for them.

I just think any size larger than a B-C is gross (but I’m a straight woman and I currently have Ds and they’re quite painful when running/ doing physical activities) and I also have a more conservative style in fashion (so I never wear low cut tops). So I would love to have a full B-C cup that would be just right (more comfortable for my lifestyle). Then again, I might be biased because I think women look more proportionate when they have larger butts than breasts 🤷🏽‍♀️

Jimmy Beats It mostly does when I’m running or doing high-impact, strenuous activities (I lead a very active and healthy lifestyle) so I guess that’s mainly where my stance is coming from - being able to run up a flight of stairs with size A or B cup breasts versus size C or D cup breasts, is a totally different experience. I guess it’s also because I’ve always been more small chested throughout my adolescence, so having a larger chest is somewhat foreign and uncomfortable to me 🤷🏽‍♀️. Also (I’ll end this tangent soon, I promise) to add to the nonsensical argument that women with larger breasts are more attractive - most overweight, out of shape women have larger breasts and most men tend to consistently refer to them as ugly. Therefore, the assumption that the *ONLY* prerequisite to “being set up for a successful dating life” (for women specifically) strictly basing it on their height, weight and facial features’ harmony - and therefore scientific beauty - seems a bit irrational (in my personal humble opinion) 💁🏽‍♀️ *Side Note:* I tend to think this assumption is also very similar to the problematic assumption that a man’s d🍆ck size or wallet equates to his handsomeness. Again either of those things have no baring on physical attractiveness and harmonious facial features.
