This reminds me of a story a few years back here in the UK. A renowned burglar who spent multiple sentences in prisons broke into an elderly ex soldiers house in broad daylight. The burglar thought he could just walk around in front of the old man in his own house and trash the place looking for valuables to steal. The old man actually stabbed the burglar and killed him. There was an investigation but very quickly it was cleared as self defence (luckily). But the real annoyance about this situation was that the burglars family had the audacity to repeatedly lay flowers outside the old man’s house, for which the public would repeatedly remove and throw away. They honestly believe their disgrace of a relative should deserve pity and respect from the people he stole from!

My grandma had her life saved by her pitbull Nero. She got assaulted by a man with a knife, but after giving him everything she could tell the man was going to take it further. He forced her in her home an Nero didn't waste a moment and promptly tore up the guys arm an leg to shreds giving her enough time to call for help. Nero took 26 stabs an cuts, the worse was the stab to the eye. But still he didn't let go. Luckily after a rush to the vet Nero only lost an eye and an ear. An yeah, turned out this man had "graped" and killed two women beforehand so yeah, cop said Nero definitely saved her life. We still have a statue of him next to my grandmas grave to this day. Wow, I'm touched on all your comments for our good old family friend an hero. I know my grandma would be especially happy for the support of Nero. Despite his wounds he never let it slow him down and lived to the good age of 12yo. An this incident happened back when she lived in Mexico on her homestead before moving to California/Arizona.

Lots of dogs protect their homes. That's how most breeds are built. The issue is how far PB's go to "protect". What if a friends neighbor was asked to stop by that house and pick something up for the homeowners but that PB was there? erm actually🤓 pit bulls were bred to be nanny dogs for children because of their sweet caring nature. The reason they are "one of the most dangerous breeds" is because they were also bred to be strong enough to protect small children and people took advantage of it. Pit bulls weren't considered dangerous until people started fighting them and would abuse them which made them see people as threats or predators so because of self defense they are considered dangerous.

She was quiet and seldom barked inside until someone tried to break into my house at night. I keep my doors locked all the time, but Ginger was protecting me. After that incident she reacted with hostile intent when an unknown person came to the door. If I was in peril, she’d have ripped any part she got her teeth into, to protect our home.
