Our antique tractor & engine club had one of these, late 1990's/early 2000's. It was lots of fun trying and succeeding to balance our own tractors and to switch up and try it with the tractor of a friend to make it more challenging. I even did this with my 1978 Chevy Suburban, which was 4x4 and lifted on big BF Goodrich tires. My young sons were in the back seat looking out the window too. Good times.

I did one of these at my local fair. Ended up having to cheat and use the loader to level it out until I found the center of gravity. It would be no problem if the center of gravity of your tractor wasn’t up high. It won’t start to tilt forward until you’re over center but then once it tilts it swings your center of gravity way ahead and you go over the other way.

My tractor club's show normally has a balance table similar to this. Somebody told me they saw one one time for steam tractors. Having driven my friend's 50 horse Case steam engine, I can't imagine making the minute movements it would take to balance something like that.
