When the EU and NATO meet, they discuss wars and sanctions. When the BRICS hold meetings, they discuss development, technology, education, economy and investments. It would make more sense for Serbia to be in the BRICS. Serbia suffered bombings in the 90s and had its territory divided into several parts. Russia, Brazil, China and Argentina recognize that Kosovo is a territory of Serbia! I wish the Serbian people strength and faith!

The survey is completely unrealistic because it was done in the center of Belgrade. At least 60% of Serbian citizens are against joining the EU without setting any conditions. If you set only one condition before those citizens, that percentage goes up to 90%

Lets explain.... Serbia had developed civil society more developed than EU (before democracy knocked to Yugoslavian door). Equality we had also, human rights also.... Serbia has alredy tied its economy to EU and what are the results? Do we have equality? Do we have independence? Do we have human rights? Lets examine firther. Serbia is being pushed to apprive and accept annexation of its teritory and to keep quiet about genocides in some countries against Serbian population. Ok lets assume Serbia accepts this and than what?!?!? Entering EU will have to be voted in EU by all members, and who is to say Croatia will not want western border with Serbia rearanged (same like Skovenia forced Croatia), who is to say that Bulgaria will have no requests also (same like in Macedonia or even worse)? Hungary? Dont forget we can still have broblems with Bosnia! So lets assume we do all of that and we enter in EU! Do we have more equality, rights, normality, safety....?!?!? Depends on how you define normality... Is Serbian natinal going to feel safe in Croatia during celebratiins (that often turn to nazi fairs with singing nazi songs)? Is Serbian natiinal ging to feel safe in Kosovo? Is any nation going to feel safe on the streets wit migrants runing with firearms and shooting each others? Ok lets look at economy front... Is Serbia going to develope its own economy and create jibs that are good payed and if there will be no overworked peoole on streets?!?!? World economy was and is always deppending on cheap labour and cheep resources (from times of aincient Egipt/Greece/Rome when slavery was used....ww1/ww2 were German fight against UK/Fr for colonies and cheap resources...)... Thats why US "gave" eastern Europe to Germany so that it has where to draw cheap resources (off course US owns Geemany bit thats a nother story...)... and germany is taking what it needs from east Europe (they need cheap labour so go figure wjat is happening with demographics of east Europe). Why is lithium being mined in Serbia but not in Germany? Germany wants to produce clean cars but ecologic price wull be payed by Serbian populatuion!!!!! Based on all this Serbia should consider entering EU but only on its own terms and anly if it benefits Serbia and its people. Right now there is no rigt reason for Serbia to join EU unless we get something in return (loaning money is not help its a form of imprisonment and making Serbia even poorer and subdued).

Questions were asked in city center where very few people live and many work in non-gouvernment organizations that are financed by Western agenda and interests. It is really rear to find Serbs who think EU would be beneficial for Serbia. There is some more who thinks that EU will destroy us if we don't put ourselves under Western control. There is almost nobody who think EU is good and really wish us to be part of it. Answers don't show real situation. Not even close. Some answers are clinical. People here consider this type of questions as an provocation or high level of ignorance. You can see even in the comments how different it is than video where almost all say "Yes" to EU.

Look, we don't belong to EU, we just don't. On top of that we'd lose Kosovo. That EU way of life is not normal. We have to tell the truth. The worst thing is for smart people to stay quiet. If you see that something is wrong, it probably is, and say something about it. It would be the end of normal, FUN life that we currently have in Serbia. I ja sam ziveo na zapadu dosta dugo pa nisam primetio da je Srbija zapadnija, trendovi postoje naravno i ovde ali neke stvari su opsta suprotnost u Srbiji i preko. Npr u Srbiji postoji neka solijalizacija medju ljudima, na zapadu je to nepostojece. Sa ovim gender stvarima starade, to je strasno, u Holandiji deca moraju u skoli da se obuku kao suprotan pol celu nedelju, toga ipak nema u Srbiji. U Srbiji se svi nesto znalaze i resavaju stvari a na zapadu je sistem tu i svi ga manje vise prate.. Itd.

I think that EU accession is still too early. If Serbia were to accede to the EU in the next year, the door of the EU would be open to young people who would flock to Western countries. I am of the opinion that for the sake of Serbia's demographics, we should wait and strengthen the domestic economy before joining the EU, so that during accession, going to another country for work would be pointless.

Unfortunately we still have some western indoctrinated "youth" as this video shows, but the situation is much better now than 10-15 years ago as it takes an immense amount of ignorance to not see the distaster the EU has been for Europe. For Serbia it would not simply be an economic and demographic disaster as it has been for Bulgaria for example, but also deeply against our national interests with respect to Kosovo and our relations with Russia. Luckily, the EU won't be expanding so this is question is kind of pointless.

Definitely against joining the EU. Even if we set aside Kosovo, when you look on paper what you get and what you have to give up, it's a very sh*tty deal. You sacrifice most of your sovereignty as a country in exchange for begging for scraps from some EU fonds and addressing Germany's labor shortage while your own country empties out. And Zeus-forbid you actually adopt the euro and also sacrifice all your monetary policy in the process, subjecting your legal tender to whatever strength is most suitable for, again, Germany. Serbia has far more economic and social potential as a bridge between the East and the West. Maintaining good economic connections with Asian and African countries, not to mention trade agreements with Russia and China, will be the key to long-term prosperity

It is very interesting to see very young Serbians ephasize the importance of Kosovo or hate Eu for defending free Kosovo. These Serbians look too young to remember tha t time or maybe even were not born when Kosovo war happened and Kosovo Albanians departed their way from Serbia.
