Airheads are a little larger than CAL's, so I would use them when targeting bigger fish.

I don't use them with jigheads. I rig them with a TroKar widegap worm hook so it's weedless.

use a slow retrieve with FINS braid so you can feel the lure better.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am about to buy the $79 500 Wright & McGill Sabalos reel that Blair uses, and the Blair Wiggins flats rod, and I don't want to kill that reel.

I'm going to be going on vacation over the summer in the Sanibel/Captiva region do you know of any inshore charters around that area that you would recommend. Also if haven't already made a video down there I would recommend it, while fishing dock for snapper I have seen many snook around the dock and rocks.

Never use swivel unless in very dirty water

Can blair or anyone else help me? I have a $40 Diawa Regal 3500 and I dropped it in the saltwater a few days ago on accident, and my dumb ass never rinsed it off. Now its no longer smooth, and it spins kinda rough. My question is, do all reels do this when soaked in saltwater or is it a matter of keeping it OUT of the saltwater and maintaining them with oil and rinsing?

a stiff rod id say 7 foot so you can control the fish better , stiff becasue it helps you pull out the fish and whip your bait under the docks also the bait skips better with a stiff rod.
