Hey Blair, Just got back from Destin. I was using the 8 ft flats blue rod and the 3500 Sabalos Real. I was catching lady fish and blue fish in the surf. I went and fished the green lights back in the bays and caught some trout. I live out here in Colorado, and only get to do this every couple of years, thanks for a great rod. Hopefully I'll get to try them out of my Hobie next time.

yes, the weight of the hooks will affect the action of the lure. We did a bunch of R&D on the Mogan Series Mirrolures to make sure the TroKar hooks didn't affect the action. They rock!

Love those Mogan series Mirrodine’s Captain Blair. My favorite bait by Mirrolure. Nice fish and sea grass to. Up here in Titusville this past year seagrass grew a lot especially by the nasa rail road bridge just a little south of it on the west side of IRL by rail road tracks. Have no clue if it stood out haven’t been there in a while but it did grow a ton let me tell ya.

fish shallow water when its calm, let your bait sit until the ripple disperese then start twitching back, try to pause your lure after about every 4 feet. some good baits are rapala skitterwalks and mirrorlure topdogs. also fish structure and esspacialy when fish are busting.

How do you keep your line from twisting with the spinning reel throwing a spoon? I am having line twisting issues when fishing a spoon with my spinning reel.
@addictivefishing7 жыл бұрын
Mogan Spoon doesn't spin but if you are using another type of spoon, you might need a swivel.
@handmethatchingadera7 жыл бұрын
Wow, thanks for a fast reply. I don't have a mogan spoon yet but next time I drive into town I'll stop at Dicks and see if they have some in stock. I absolutely love your spinning rods and really want to try the mogan too. Not spinning is awesome, I have noticed that when I get bit on my Johnson sprite spoon that it's normally on a pause when it flutters. If that mogan doesn't spin it sounds like it will maintain the action I noticed I get hit on for basically an intire cast. I can't wait to try one. Thanks!

James Moretich if you are really worried about twist tie your main line to an appropriate barrel swivel and the fluorocarbon on the other end . Tight lines

How deep can you see into the water when you're offshore? I'm a Wisconsinite and most of our water is pretty full of tannin, so we only get about four or five feet on a good day with polarized sunglasses.

Hey Blair, I was curious, I live in brevard as well. I fish across the street in this 2-3ft shallows in this cove type area with canals around. Me and my bud fish it alot but dont have much action, theirs tons of bait in there. And we've seen stuff tearing them up, but they randomly come. Any tips for fishing the canals and the cove with a canoe?

Blair, I have two of your mogan series mirodines. I tried them out to catch bass the other day but I don't know if I'm using them right. I twitch twice and then pause, but the bait suspends so close to the surface. Is this normal or is it just that the pause should be a long pause?
