This is actually a really clever way to introduce you to the new Punch-Out. There's a bunch of things that happen in the Doc fights that show up in Contender Mode (and a few in Title Defense): -Doc only needs to be knocked down once = same with King Hippo -the off-beat punches get you stars, same with most fighters (doesn't seem like Doc ever flashes yellow) -knocking Doc's chocolate bar away = knocking away Soda Popinski's bottle (if only you could get a star from it!) -in that same vein, pissing off your opponents by doing certain things (e.g. knocking off Don Flamenco's toupee) or beating them and facing them again in Title Defense = Doc ripping off his jacket and moving and recovering faster -there's that one punch he does in the third one that doesn't include a few frames of him flashing red = Sandman (and a few other fighters, i think) do the same thing, so you really have to be on your game. One thing that is different is that Doc can get a star from you and then perform a Star Punch - the regular opponents just do special, non-star punches. I guess it makes sense that he fights similar to the contenders - if my memory's correct, he used to fight and had a huge rivalry with Bald Bull.

He tells you how you're supposed to avoid his attacks and yet he then gets confused on how you were able to dodge or block them of course that changes when you knock his chocolate bar out of his hand especially for the second time

Following the devastating blow to doc's head, he fell unconscious, bleeding from his nose, mouth, and ears. He was quickly rushed to the emergency room where intensive surgery was performed. The damage to Doc's skull, spine, and brain tissue was too severe to fix. Mac was completely heartbroken at this news. He rushed into the room, and kneeled next to Doc's hospital bed, shedding tears. Doc then opened his eyes for the first time in hours, he used his last ounce of strength, turned his head to Mac, smiled, and said: "That was a big mosquito." Before finally flat lining.

Stages: Stage 1(Warm-up): 0:20 Every time before attack, a hint is given. Can gain Stars after hint but before the attack. Stage 2(Training): 1:39 Sometimes hint are removed, new attacks introduced. Stage 3(Final, Sparring): 3:01 Louis has Star Punch (Instant KO if hit?), new attacks introduced. This stage is divided in 2 phases. Also, HP recovery when he eats a chocolate bar (It happens when he's at 1/3 HP). You'll enter the 2nd phase after you knock his chocolate bar for the 1st time. In 2nd phase thing basically became harder...?
