My favorite tip is to straight lace the boots as tight as you can get around the toe cap. It helps in creating that "wave" he's talking about, of course combined with the use of the balm and frequent polishing.
@travisguide45167 жыл бұрын
yeah a little is good to start with. the leather naturally gets dry over time so if you oversaturate them they will eventually dry back out. i overdid these ones so they got kinda soggy at first but after they dried out they still require a light application here and there to supplement leathers natural oils being lost. these boots eventually turned into being wet everyday and soaking up a entire can of wonder balm to keep them from shrinking. dry leather sucks so do supplement with the balm

I always use the product on the black shiny ones it works good on those i wouldn't put it on the suede ones but im pretty sure you don't have those ones i put it on the brown ones too just don't saturate or it will take to long for it to dry back out essentially all leather get more dry over time and needs to have oils replaced from the leather

the crazy horses are matte finish and look better in a light brown color they might do well with a light application but not too much i oversaturated them where it would have been appropriate for the waxy type of docs

@travisguide45168 ай бұрын
the wonder balm is ok for the crazy horse but definitely don’t over saturate as the flat texture will absorb oil and get darker and soggy. Leather needs its oils replenished over time or else cracks will form. just go ez on the product compared to the shiny type finish shoes

Hi Travis!! Love your videos, you have such a nice energy! I noticed you sometimes change the perspective on using or not wonder balm for the crazy horses. What do you think rn? Is it going to even dry them more? Or is it helping?

All leather gets dry over time and shrinks I think it should be understood and replaced with a really light amount I think I went too far
@travisguide45167 жыл бұрын
as time went on my crazy horses got wet and turned light brown again at that point a light application of wonder balsam was better and suitable just don't oversaturate or your shoe will look like a mechanics boot after working in the oil pit

@UserK9n5 жыл бұрын

Definitely more applications in the beginning until the threat of leather cracking is balanced out with balm. I do one polish before my first walk in the shoes and every time after that until I'm satisfied it's not going to crack. Miss out on a few polishes early and you can't get that time back.

Dubbin is better for oiled or distressed leather like crazy horse. Basically of you don’t want them shiny stick to oil or dubbin or anything with little or no wax, wax is for shiny leather.
