Chloe Coulier standing on the 1st place podium and chugging that beer like a literal champ--amazing! Great comp. And man. Things that were normal in early February that may not feel normal again for a very long time: a crowd, Chloe jokingly kissing a top hold, one of the commentators coughing a whole bunch and making jokes about giving his co-commentator the plague, the winners casually passing around and sharing the champagne bottles. I hope we can get all of that back someday.

I also started at 25. I was a depressing piece of skeleton until 24 when i discovered calisthenics, then i got into climbing and it's been the only thing in my life that i can do without suffering. I'm almost 31 now, climbing harder than ever and enjoying it even more.

This was great, thank you. A bit of unsolicited constructive criticism, please don't cut to the crowd while the climbers are on the wall. It's super frustrating as a viewer to miss part of an attempt. But overall, great video. Thank you again.

I agree about crowd shops being annoying when climbers are active. Also why don't they do a split screen so we can see what both climbers are doing like several of the other competitions are doing these days.

Totally agree. The production on this was very poor at times. Showing the crowd while climbing was underway. Showing the guy brushing the holds while the lady is climbing. The lighting was annoying--made it hard to see the holds and the faces of the climbers. I still enjoyed this, but the IFSC videos are much better viewing.

Great athletes I'm happy that the commentators are climbers as well. I've seen some qualifications for the olympic games with famous commentators that are no climbers and it was so annoying.

Commentator: I love having two on a wall at the same time. Also Commentator: We don't know if Chloe has had an attempt as we (and the camera) were as usual focusing on the male climber. THIS is what is wrong, from an online spectator perspective, of having two climbers on the wall at the same time. For finals it should be all female then all male or else alternate. But so much is missed with this two on a wall format.

Nah. Eddie is a regular on the IFSC world cup circuit as official photographer and occasional interviewer. He is just pulling the piss out of the French with his blunt NZ style of humor.

Not at all. I love the French crew. As epincion said I have a Kiwi sense of humor, which can come across as dry and cutting to some. It's a national trait... I think cut here takes out some of the context. The actual livestream starts about 40 minutes earlier with build up interviews in Iso and a round preview. If you see that I hope you'll realize the respect runs deep!

The male commentator is very well informed and obvisously a skill climber (and he sure knows how to make pictures), but i do not like him as a commentator here. he is really negative torwards the combatants and i don´t like his humour and attitude at all! Especially (but not exclusively) his russian "jokes" are way too much for my taste. the competiton is great, though, and the female commentator did a great job under these circumstances.
