D1 sports students are just pure respect. I’m a cs major and people say “oh it must be so hard” or “oh it’s gotta be tiring” nah, compared to sports students it’s easy other than 1 semester. It would’ve been hilarious to see a realistic cs student compared with an athlete. Cause trust me, most of the “day in the life of a cs student” videos are just trying to appeal to the stereotype of a cs student being all studious, when in reality most of us see a B as a reason to party lol

Man it can be so tempting especially with social media, but this vid puts it right in perspective. While he’s out grinding it’s hard. It’s real real hard. Specially when u check in stories on sc seeing all the social events ur missing out on. It’s even confusing, you’ll find urself asking over and over “is this grind worth it?” It’s Mental game of endurance not just to do it but to stay committed to choosing that life over the alternative. In the end tho (for those that don’t go NFL) you’re both walking away with a degree from the same university, but that level of self discipline the D1 player has will carry him to be respected in everything he/she does
@jonreytaylor

One thing not mentioned is the difference in degrees that you see on the football team vs a fraternity. When I was in college most of us who were active members got degrees in finance, business, engineering, biology, etc. I could never figure Out how some of the football guys got good degrees like that while playing ball. My last 2 years of school all I did was work and study. It was a grind

The comparison is really apples to oranges. Most D1 athletes are there on a scholarship, so not only do they need to keep themselves in shape for their sport, they need to maintain their grades. We also don’t know what the Sigma Nu’s schedule for the day was. If I didn’t have a class early at ASU, I sure as hell didn’t get out of bed early.

Being a student-athelete is extremely grueling. I am currently in my 3rd year going on to 4th. When I was in 2nd year I was an all-canadian track and field 100m sprinter (10.06 S) while trying to balance my double major in Accounting and Supply Chain. The amount of time you need to spend everyday on academics and training make a lot of people question whether its worth it or not to take it further. In my case unfortunately, juggling All-canadian, and 2 double majors was not working and I had to make a choice whether to chase my dream or have a secure future job. Unfortunately I made the decision to give up on my dream and work for a secure future job. Much respect to all student athletes, shit is not easy.

Another Banger Dockery. Thanks for showing these young kids the life between these 2 type of people. The football players grinding to keep a spot on that team while literally balancing all aspects of life. Majority of them come from backgrounds were a scholarship and being noticed meant a free ride to college because of family not having funds. On the other hand you have a frat kid who parents paid his college tuition with bare minimum worries. His toughest days are surviving through classes. He'll end up running his families business afterwards. Since he has connections through that fraternity, bro is set after college.

it’s funny cause i know being a student athlete is super difficult cause i played football in high school and obviously it’s more rigorous in college. i’m in a fraternity and i’m one of the few guys who have a job and have to pay their way through college but so many kids just have their parents pay for everything it’s so bad. But a lot of the student athletes have huge scholarships and literally get spoon fed by the school at the same time yk

@@Sunshine-ot7us if you been to college then you would know that those kids in these ivy league fraternities are spoon feed by the school and family who literally gives them everything. If you notice in the video that kid tried making it seems like his life was a struggle to deal with by doing philanthropy stuff.

God sends his toughest warriors through hell bro. The harder you work the harder you get rewarded, sure, your friends are having fun, but they won't know what being a real man is like, working hard everyday, staying on the grind, etc. All they do is party. Keep grindin bro 🤙
