Humanitarian aid is slowly getting into the hands of starving Gazans through that maritime corridor. The material used to construct docks for the ships is coming from the rubble of destroyed buildings. Danielle Neri reports.

Haven't they heard of the thousands of trucks at the Rafah crossing?...that can bring aid to all parts of G*aza, including food, water, and medicine, within hours!! Isn’t America’s support for the occupation of Pales*tine enough? Now America wants to occ*upy G*aza’s waters!! Shame on America for basing its interests on imposing fam*ine in G*aza so that there is only the port under the supervision of the Is*raeli and American Zio*nists... and the world stands and watches and does nothing... food spoils in thousands of trucks at the Rafah crossing... I donated my Ramadan money to World Central Kitchen because there was the hope that desperate food aid would make it into Gaza and it did. There are no easy solutions or answers to this crisis but now that several aid workers have been killed, I read that WCK is suspending their operations. This is a very distressing situation.

Why cant the IDF halt attacks when aid is being delivered? Whats the big deal huh? This is merciless at this point. I get what hamas did was the most twisted and evil thing, but this has gone on long enough. Hamas will hide among the poor people of Gaza and they will suffer. There has to be a better solution. Peace will never be achieved this way, and the people of Gaza need to be free of hamas also. They need to have the freedom to vote for a government to run their state, and the freedom to oust those that fail them. They need to be part of the global community and and treated as neighbors. But first this blood hatred on both sides has to stop, and recognition of a nation for Palestinians needs to go forth. I get that Israel wont give up land, but imo the gaza strip is gone, i think a nation state for Palestinians should be the west bank. I understand that they want all of Israel, but that wont happen. But i think they should have the west bank and a state of their own.

In the 13th century, in the days of Salah al Din, the Palestinians blocked the ports by dumping ruble in them to prevent invasion by the Crusaders.. Including Caesarea Palestina (Maritima), Gaza and 'Asqalon, The Crusaders now have bigger ships. But not much else has changed.

I don't think people understand the severity of the situation, Israel has attacked a foreign consulate, that in itself is considered by the UN Charter to be an act of war plain and simple, how is this different than the other attacks? They attacked a diplomatic mission which is protected under the UN Charter, countries cannot go out and arrest diplomats, they can only expel them if you are the hosting country. In this case Israel is not even the hosting country, the fact this is being discussed whether Israel is in the right or wrong is completely irrelevant. If no consequence comes of this attack, then this can create a horrible precedent for fear of lack of deterrence which will lead to a fall in international collaboration with other countries
