The classic headphone jack works as an out put. So you can link your blue tooth device to the adapter and then plug in some speakers via the head phone jack and it works fine. Hope that helps

Yes it works in most situations but there are a few instances where it is not compatible… im not really sure why. I wanted it to work with my Onkyo Docking station, but nope. But it will work if i use a standard port on the Onkyo receiver. Kind of strange.

It also holds a charge to use with devices without 30 Pin dock. You can connect to your existing AV Receiver using the 3.5 mm audio port.
