My favourite thing of this scene is that reflexive jolt from Paris. This is apparently because the Robert Mcneill (Tom) wasn't told that Robert Picardo (The Doctor) was going to yell into his ear, he was expecting to just feel the hypospray prop touch his neck, as rehearsed previously. So that jolt was a genuine reaction he had to lean into.

To be fair when we sleep some of our body rhythms are reduced HR, Breathing, BP. So to Voyagers massive sensor suite it can find his shuttle and track him. But...read outs are not designed to differentiate between weak sleepy signals and weak from blood loss signals. Voyager just spit out Tom's vitals probably and Harry a non doctor said they were weak. But under the Tricorder focused scan and a medical professional to review the data. The doctor said no he just sleeping.

The old Enterprise (NCC-1701) had gone to speeds as high as Warp 14 and perhaps beyond with alien assistance. That is how the Andromedans got to the Milky Way Galaxy (going really, really, really fast at warp). Now before everyone starts with "but they explained that later by changing the definition of what speed the warp numbers were", no they actually didn't. They handwaved over it and conveniently forgot the Andromedans. The Warp 9 barrier was a stupid plot point, as stupid as "warp ships wear out the fabric of space!" in STNG.
