that attitude to human affairs is Zeus' and his son Hercules. In return for his defiance Zeus made Hercules mortal. this was the 1990s just before Proctor and the Gatherers showed up. That would be an epic animated movie once you introduce Dane Whitman the Black Night and Sersei of the Eternals. Withouth giving away plot points to a 30 year old comic those two are at the center of the story. Also it involves parallel universes. Proctor Gathers alternate universe versions of familiar people. Those are the Gatherers. You could refresh the MCU Avengers by changing the roster. This has been done in the comics . And I don't mean mshe u or other woke remakes. Actual classic comics. Food for thought

In the comics Doom did take over the world and actually eliminated disease, hunger and war at the expense of freedom, he then at the end gave up his control as it was too boring. Furthermore the panther god black panther worships acknowledged that only under the rule of Doom, the world would know peace.

Reminds me of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 where Doom, through an alliance with several prominent villans including Loki, manages to capture Odin and siphon the Odinforce from him. Doom uses Odin’s power to effortlessly conquer the entire planet and magically corrupt heroes into twisted versions of themselves after he easily swatted them all - including the Hulk. The only two heroes who were left somewhat conscious was Cyclops and Colossus; the latter of whom lost an arm and a leg to Doom, and the former nearly had his head blown off when Doom pushes his optic blast back at him. UA1 Doom literally blows up nukes en route to Latveria just by balling his fist up. probably one of the strongest versions of Dr.Doom before God Emperor Doom was a thing.

The Flash and none of the speedster can ever truly travel back in time but they go into anternate universes. Just like the avengers none of them time traveled at all. What Tony created was a machine that travels to alternate universes that looks like their past but no one actually travels in the past. If you and I created what we term as a “Time Machine” and the decision was mutually agreed upon by you and I that you go and I was to stay and you decided to change things in the “Past” and then you traveled to what you term as your “present” moment nothing would actually change on my original time line but you are now in an alternate universe where this change did occur but to you it looks like the original time line. What you are doing is traveling to an alternate universe that looks like your past, then you are traveling to another alternate universe that looks like your present moment after you thought that you had changed what you thought was your past but you didn’t change anything. All your action in that universe did not change your original time line nor help shape it naturally. In fact what has already happened no one can change one bit. You never actually change any time line at all. The Flash in DC comics is a prime example of traveling into what he thinks is his original time line’s past and he never returns to his original time line at all. When the Avengers fought Thanos the second time around it wasn’t the Thanos of their original time line but one of an alternate time line, same thing with Loki and the Chitauri army, same thing as Steve Roger (Captian America) meeting Peggy and Tony meeting Howard Starks, and Steve meeting Steve (he didn’t fight himself but an alternate version of himself but nothing had changed) if they did end up sending Thanos of their original time line to the soul stone before he had gone out to collect the stones then in their original time line everything that happened would of not happened, yet as we see that wasn’t even the case.

AA's writing has always been weird and iffy most of the time, but considering that Natasha gives cues to the Punisher and the others, they've probably have been thinking of turning on Doom for a while now, and Thor just had to come in. Maybe they hadn't said a thing yet to not blow their covers, or they wanted Thor to get captured and come to them because they also secretly believed in the prophecy and needed Thor at the castle.

How would that work? The timeline's already been altered, so how would Thor be able to go back to the exact moment _in the other timeline_ Doom first time traveled? The other timeline should be blocked, unless they did something with Thor's temporal energies. Furthermore, the Avengers keep a time machine hidden in the basement of their house? Do the Avengers not keep an eye on their own shit? Doom literally just walked in there with everything he needed to start time jumping.
