I had robotic surgery last year for a not so common abdominal hernia. Everything went well and quick recovery.

I welded pipe and boiler tubes for a living which requires good hand eye coordination. I remember telling one surgeon he would have made a 'hell of a welder'. I cant for the life of me recall what he was doing that made me say it but I remember being very impressed with his hand eye coordination.

Hand to eye coordination is a sense every human has, some are just better at it because their job requires them to train it. Most get really good at it from gaming

Also the surgeon could operate from anywhere with a good internet connection around the world. I've personally made about 4 million parts for these and they are ramping up production levels by about 30% every year. My point is that these are the future of every surgery. They will be in every major hospital in the world as fast as we can make them. Every company that is involved in the production of these robots are struggling to hire and automate fast enough to keep up with the outstanding orders from everywhere on earth. Especially since a lot of the instruments are single use. I just think it's awesome and this is the first video about it that has come across my page, exciting to see. Also a little sci-fi scary lol.

This method was used on me for my right side inguinal hernia surgery. The pain and recovery time was much less than that resulting from my previous left side emergency inguinal hernia surgery.

I work with reprocessing the arms used. The arms can cost anywhere between 3 and 6 thousand each and they only last 8 surgeries each. Expensive but cool

I've had davinci surgery for ovarian polyps, and it was so barely invasive, my scars are literally half an inch long (3 scars total) and i was only down for 3 days. My experience was amazing!

My wife flipped out when they wheeled her into the OR for surgery and she saw this. They nurse said my wife yelled out "hell no, there will be no T800 bullshit done on me." To be fair they didn't tell her about the robot, they didn't tell me either, so I was surprised when the nurse came out and told me they had to wait for another surgeon because my wife refused to let the robot near her.
