I’ve sold my XT30 and got the XT50 for 1.350 EUR. And I am really really happy with it. Don’t miss the drive dial, because it’s just like the film simulations on XT30 only one click on the button. Easy! Thanks for your work!

I would still choose Olympus/ OM system for the following reasons: 1) Cost; 2) Raw file size without sacrificing image quality (50MB Fuji vs Olympus 22MB; 3) The IBIS in Olympus is superb
@Sunkissed19683 ай бұрын
You‘ve said that the X-T50 has better AF than Olympus! I‘m not so sure about that. If you would compare the x-t50 with the OM5 regarding the AF I think the OM5 is still better/faster. maybe the eye-af is better on the Fuji, but everything else goes to the Olympus. Just focus- tapping on the touchscreen is still flawless on the OM5, where there is still some small lag on the x-t50 (I tested it with the 23/f2). The x-t50 is a very nice looking camera with good performance but just saying it is better as Olympus (af-wise) is not the case. Maybe with the E-M10 Mark4 that you have, because it doesn’t has Pdaf (what om5) has. Maybe you can make comparison between x-t50 and om5. Would be interesting.

Nice video!!! Good points. However, i would say that the OM-5 with the 12-45 f4 pro is a hreat combo. It is not 10 bit like the XT50, but it is £500 cheaper than the XT50 with the new kit lens. The OM-5 has plenty of features that trump the Fujis. It has better weather sealing and IBIS than even the XT-5. That 12-45 f4 pro is no joke. It is sharp, weather sealed and close focusing. Tough as nails. The computational features are great too. The OM-5 is a compelling option. The OM-5 even looks as good as any Fuji.

thank you. sorry i have a question: the vogtlander 27 mm with manual focus works in Time Modus changing the aperture automaticly or the aperture must be sett olso manually ?

All manual

Dear Tudor, fully agree. My XT50 is paired with an awesome Voigtländer Nokton 23 mm F1.2 X (35mm equivalent, only glass & metal, 214g). Perfect for street photography & travels. More importantly, always in my hand when out, walking to work or wandering. Greetings 🇨🇭

It's nice to see that you are happy with the X-T50 Tudor. I am personally still not convinced for a few reasons. 1) I don't shoot JPG so that dial means wasted functionality to me. 2) I don't want 40 megapixels for my personal work. It's too much to deal with and altering the compression would be pointless. 3) The AF on the X-T30ii is totally fine for me, but when I shoot street I use zone focusing anyway. These are all my personal reasons which others may or may not find in common. I am happy though to see your GAS is cured!

X-t50 is so cute that you can only love it. But I still don't want to be restricted by an unexpected rain. And I like a larger viewfinder. The iso dial can be useful in many situations, too. I think Fuji can make one day a camera that will combine the two lineups and will have all the features and be small at the same time. Maybe the x-t7

The OM-5 with Kit 12-45 is £999 after cash back by OM Systems. The XT50 is £1500. Still!! The OM-5 has got the XT50 and even the XT5 beat in some areas.

Yes, and em5III you can get even cheaper.

I think there's a good chance the firmware for the X-T5, X-H2 and X-H2s improve over time and get to be as good or better to how they were on release; and that they become really good value cameras in 5 or 10 years. Also there's a good chance that the firmware for the X-T50 gets one or several bugs introduced in the next firmware updates, and suffer from the same issues as with the other newer Fuji cameras. So whatever the camera, there's always a chance for bugs to be introduced and affect the performance. Of course, if you shoot manual much of this won't matter.

Compare om5 and x-t50 please.

In my humble opinion, the OM-5 with its 12-45 f4 kit lens can easily give the Fuji a run for its money.

hi Tudor, you are right on all points. I'm getting the x-t50 but not because it's not WR. I don't understand Fujifilm at all on this point.

To be entirely fare you have to compare Fuji XT50 with another camera in the Sony lineup... The Sony a6700... It doesn't have 40 megapixels, it doesn't have film simulations, but it has so much more...
@Kunal09153 ай бұрын
The A6700 is a beast of a camera. It is miles ahead as far as the AF goes. It is simply too much of a camera to be compared to the XT50.
@Kunal09153 ай бұрын
I am a bit surprised that you have never featured the Sony A7 III on this channel. I have tried most cameras you have tested in this channel and I can say without a doubt that the A7 III still trumps most of these cameras. Combine the A7 iii with the 40 mm f2.5 G. The A7 III is £999 now. I had the XT5 for three months. The 40mp sensor is no match for the A7 III 24 mp sensor. Experience the micro contrast and the bite of that sensor combined with the 40 2.5. The A7 iii even has the flip up screen. One of the last great full frame cameras to do so.

it should have been perfect if it is as light weight as xt30ii. Ibis adding shouldnt add that much of weight. And in terms of pancake, lumix 20mm 1.7 is still better than fuji xf 27mm 2.8.

As a T50 owner, and also a long time user of Sony and Canon, the T50's auto focusing (AF-C in particular) is nowhere near that of Sony or Canon. That a7C you mention, which is based on the a7iii (about two generations behind at this point), is still way better with tracking and accuracy. And newer cameras, like the Canon R8 (lighter and less expensive than the Fuji btw), will probably seem like magic in comparison. I just spent a week on vacation with the T50, and after editing my shots I kinda wished I had the focusing and dynamic range of that Canon.

Cure GAS by acquiring more gear, lol. Got it.

So full frame being cropped medium sensor, being cropped PhaseOne, you might as well capitulate and get a PhaseOne… just after securing a loan on your house… this statement is as true and ridiculous as your original one… why? Show me one single photo where you would see the result, and say “awesome photo, but if only it was shot with a bigger sensor”… practice photography instead, using the gear you have, get good lenses, and as a last resort - a very last resort - get bigger sensor cameras, but only because what you shoot limits you currently!

No weather sealing, its a big no in the uk winter. Plus £1600 with kit lens, too expensive

Great camera but not small enough. Where is x pro 4? X pro 4 will make xt50 completely irrelevant to me.
@WhoIsSerafin2 ай бұрын
Except for keeping my x100v I have lost all interest in Fuji. And I came close to heavily investing into the system. They have gone all communist Chinese made. Yuck! Plus my OM5 with 17mm 1.2 really outperforms anything the xt5 can do in photography for me personally.
@CapsizeMedia2 ай бұрын
This is just cope because you brought the xt50, imagine the xt5 just with one less memory card slot, a gimmick dial and no weather sealing you get the xt50.

Those top dials are disgusting. Fuji has only one interesting APS-C camera and that is X-H2. Those lenses ARE NOT as small as m4/3 as you can clearly see. And definitely not better. Show me Fuji equivallent to Olympus 12-100/4 to start with. And not just that range, but corner to corner high resolution sealed lens.
@Tudor_Mateescu2 ай бұрын
The sensor is much better, no question asked. M43 is way behind now even with the 12-100 zoom. And now there are plenty of small and light Fujifilm lenses much better than standard m43 lenses. But if you shoot landscape and nature m43 could be a choice.
@brettgoulder52082 ай бұрын
No, you're presenting another camera. It just creates more GAS.
