In case you do not know marcelito's story ~ Marcelito's father was incarcerated and, at age 7 yrs old, his mother abandoned him on the streets of a poverty ridden city in The Philippines. He would sing to comfort himself when afraid and alone. He worked cleaning chicken coops for coins to survive where he sang to the chickens. You must hear his version of the prayer. Not only is it beautiful and beyond words, it is his signature song and the story of his childhood ~ he asked God for safety, wisdom and guidance. With every thing he went through he remained kind, gentle and humble. Everything he sings has a certain magic touch that grasps peoples' hearts. Marcelito has had absolutely no vocal training and is self taught. He can sing all genres of music, both male and female vocals and in 6 different languages. He is an advocate for the poor, abandoned, disabled and elderly in The Phillipines. He is a true inspiration.
