Happy ASMR Sunday everyone! Trying something different for this video where I perform a first person abdominal exam with various techniques as well as ultrasound and cranial nerves. Let me know if you like any of these new styles and if you have ideas please let me know in the comments! I can't thank you all enough for your support in welcoming me to the ASMR community. Let's grow and relax together! I hope you have a great day/night & stay awesome. - Dr. Adam

They do! It’s part of their training. Like how military soldiers are conditioned to suppress emotion, doctors are conditioned to speak calmly to relax their patients as many patients suffer from anxiety and nerves in the doctors room.

hey doc, right now, i’m in a bad way with norovirus gastroenteritis. and at the risk of being gross on main, it’s the whole nine yards - vomiting, nausea, cramps, and uh... ‘the runs’. it’s been a few days so i went to my gp, and i kinda got chewed out for coming in for a ‘minor illness’, even though i thought i was doing the right thing. the whole thing made me feel really sad. maybe you could do another abdominal exam video where the patient’s symptoms are like mine? then i can pretend i got seen by a nice doctor lmao

“So, please, tell me… when did this start?” Well… it came about earlier, while I was trying to watch Spider-Man 3 for the first time in maybe a decade… “I’m sorry to hear that. It’s probably been tough having that type of discomfort.” Thanks, doc. “How would you describe the feeling?” Well, it took me over 3hrs to finish because I had to stop the movie continuously from laughing so bad at the cringe. “I understand. Does it radiate anywhere?” My throat hurts from chuckling so bad, TBF. “Mhm.” Ribs, too. “Mhm. Out of 10, how bad would you say the pain is?” I had to take two breaks to catch my breath… “Okay, well, I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through that type of pain. Do you notice that it changes at all when you’re eating?” Gave up on a Galaxy bar to lessen the risk of aspiration… “Okay, and are you moving your bowels normally?” Uhhh…? “Okay, I’m glad to hear that.” … “Any nausea or vomiting?” That bit where Harry was eating the pie in the coffee shop. “Okay, excellent. Any recent changes to your diet?” Milkshakes... Choccy milkshakes. “Okay… alright… any other concerns that you’d like to share for right now?” Now dig on this... “Mhm.” *clicks fingers and thrusts hips to the jazzy beat while fwipping my fwippy fringe* “I understand.”
