I don’t like micro needling. I will literally use rubbing alcohol before needling and yes, after needling and my skin still breaks out in pimples. I even put the microneedle down in a shot glass full of rubbing alcohol and for some reason it just won’t stay sterile. So I gave up, now I don’t do anything to my face. After struggling for nearly 20 years with acne and scars, I’ve given up. I don’t care if people are scared of me, I don’t care if they hate me anymore. I can’t keep hating myself, too

Also, you have to keep using minoxidil for the rest of your life if you want to keep the hair since it will just start falling off again if you don't. So if 1.5mm is too deep, what do you recommend?
@AllysseMarie
@AllysseMarie 10 ай бұрын
Safe at home is .25, .5mm max, 1-2x per week on clean hair and sterilizing the instrument afterwards. That’s what I’ve gathered from most of the docs I’ve been watching across the board. Also, slow and steady wins the race. People jump to the longer needles thinking the more abrasive and the the more frequent the better. NO 😟You can actually cause permanent trauma to the follicle and end up in a worse position. It takes time. If your follicles aren’t completely r.i.p then you’ll see some improvement over time 👍🏾

1.5 mm is NOT too deep to be done at home. But 1) don't do more frequently than once every 2 weeks, given that its quite deep and need to give skin time to heal .. otherwise fibrosis in long term could be a risk. 2) the depth you do depends on whether you're looking to stimulate or for topicals absorption. If you doing for stimulation then you kinda wasting your time if you only did 0.5 mm (which is kinda common for at-home rollers) ... why? because all the hair's good stuff is in the reticular dermis which is at least 2.5 mm below surface of skin ... so you gotta get at least close to that ... there is almost nothing happening in the epidermis which is at least 1 mm thick ... the stratum corneum of epidermis (top epidermal layer) is only about 0.2 mm and is completely dead skin cells and forms the impermeable skin barrier ... which is where minimal depth rolling of about 0.25 to 0.5 mm could help absorption of topicals significantly

@@nin1269Don’t buy a roller, buy a pen. Rollers can tear skin and it’s hard to be consistent. A proper pen is way better for consistency, effectiveness, and sanitation. Plus you can just swap the needles and accurately adjust your depth. 1.5mm doesn’t seem to be too deep, if you’re worried about scarring, increase the time between sessions or go no lower than 1mm if you actually want results. I can link you a good pen, but I don’t wanna seem like an ai shill

Hey dr, is there anything you can recommend to have Fuller hair? I'm 43 years old and have very thin and fine hair. I've always wanted thicker fuller hair and can't figure out how to do it. Also my hair doesn't grow very quick, any advice on any products that can make it grow faster? Thanks in advance
