Comfort shows: Psych & Eureka (although others show up now and then depending on my mood, those two are pretty much always on the "list") - there's a few episodes of each I know to skip because they'll make me cry, but the vast majority of the episodes are just fun. And I know them all well enough so that if I drift I don't have to rewind to catch up on anything plot related I missed. And there was a question about coping strategies... music is my go-to, particularly with decent headphones so I can make the rest of the room shut up. Generally Bach, Satie, Saint-Saens, Debussy, etc (if I'm super stressed and need to chill). But if I just need something I know to focus on then I'll branch out into more up-tempo stuff (Rodrigo y Gabriela, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, BSG soundtracks, Stephane Grappelli... I could go on...)

I looked it up and it seems like the episodes are commonly organized by air-date. I think clips from the episodes on February 12, February 24, and especially March 4, 2024 could potentially be of interest. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where to find the show streaming in the UK right now. Cannabis is now legal in my state. I've been toying with the idea of trying it. I have had depression since my teens. But I had heard about the possible psychosis side effects as well as possibly causing thunderclap headaches. I had two thunderclap headaches about two years ago and I don't want them again. I wish I knew what to believe about cannabis. I know it's not as bad as people used to think, but I'm not sold on it being the wonder plant with no negative effects. [Side note: I quit alcohol about 15 years ago after getting severe headaches after half a glass of alcohol. My only "vice" is caffeine.]

One of my comfort shows is the animated series "Dead End Paranormal Park." It has two lead teenaged characters: one a Jewish gay trans male (Barney) and the other a South Asian neurodivergent female (Norma). (The other two main characters are a demon and a talking dog, but that's another story.) Barney has run away from home to live in the haunted house attraction of a theme park after a transphobic run-in with his grandmother. Norma is having a hard time connecting with her co-workers at the park due to her autism. But despite this heavy-sounding summary, it's actually a hilarious show that both kids and adults can enjoy. It's on Netflix, and I'd love it if you could do a reaction to "Trust Me," the third episode of Season One. The reason why will become apparent pretty quickly if you do.

@@silverstarlight9395 Hi everyone. I'm going to pause any more uploads of Baby Reindeer for the time being. I know some might be disappointed by this but I've been made aware that my face was used for a second or two on an interview where people have been trying to seek and out and identify people that the characters from the show may be based on. Obviously I had no knowledge that my face would be used, I did not give permission for this and I am disappointed and frankly angry that it was. I haven't watched the interview and don't intend to, but I find the premise to be exploitative and just plain wrong. Every video that I put up on my channel is not intended to validate a plot, and the issue of "true story" or "based on a true story" and what is factual and what is creative license is nothing to do with me. My goal is to use TV shows and media as a launching pad for learning about real mental health issues to stop misinformation and better inform those that watch. I am concerned that by now commenting on the show at all that my content could be used to collude with the shows potential side effect of viewers and journalists seeking out and exploiting potentially vulnerable people with a very voyeuristic mindset. Its just the antithesis of what I'm here for. It doesn't matter if the show is a hit or not or what the viewership is. I've thought a lot about this and in my head and my heart I think it is the right thing to do. There may be a time in the future, when the dust settles, that we can come back to it. In fact, I hope there is because it's such an incredibly plot and its commentary on trauma is one of the most remarkable I've ever seen. For now, I'm going to unlist the videos. One last comment from me though is to thank all of my regular and new viewers because despite the wider media circus, the comments on all of these videos show that this channel is building an empathetic and compassionate audience which makes me so happy. Be kind. Be compassionate x
