You have to have extra thick skin to be a doctor or nurse in the townships. Some of my doctor and nurse friends tell me that if month end falls on the weekend, its like a warzone in the ER. Respect to Dr. Siya. Thanks Joshua for bringing us these amazing podcasts.

Sex education is so important, I had sex ed at school but it was useless due to the lack of maturity we had. The information fell on deaf ears. The only thing I remembered was that if you have sex you’re a slut and WILL get pregnant and if you have sex as a male you’re on your way to man hood. Also we only spoke about male masturbation and it felt shameful as a girl to speak about it. I believe we need to have conversations around sex and sexual health appropriately at earlier ages. Nothing explicit but just to remove some of that awkward tension so that when sexual education is taught in detail it won’t fall on deaf ears because the boys aren’t laughing when the word vagina gets mentioned or the girls don’t feel ashamed for wanting to masturbate. Education is key, consent, health, safety. Love the show so much!
