Hi sir, I graduated in 2020 from India.. My passion is in neurology. I wanted to give plab in 2022 but pretty much all seats are filled.. Though gmc announced they may release few more seats by March, nobody knows how far this is true. I have 3 questions sir: 1) if I am unable to take exam in 2022, the earliest I can is in 2023..I will be an old grad by then, do I still have a chance? 2) what can I do specifically to boost my cv in the next 1 year? 3) is it possible for IMGs to get into subjects like neurology for speciality training? Thank you sir

Age is not a criteria for application but more experience does count against you after a point in time and makes things harder over all. Building up on research work, formal teaching courses, certification courses and publications will help beef up your CV. It is possible but depends on number of applicants in the given year. You can get an idea by doing a quick google search on applicant: trainee ratio for each branch !! Hope this helps - and apologies for the late reply. This post got missed unfortunately until today !!
