@@cheri7054 when you are fasted…even if it’s just overnight, be determined that the only thing you will eat when you’re hungry is a can of sardines. I broke a 24 hour fast with them. I was very suspicious of them. But as I took my first bite it wasn’t bad. In fact, it was good. I like how my taste buds have changed by eliminating all the junk and sugar so now I can truly enjoy food that I don’t normally eat. I’m starting a sardine fast Saturday after my granddaughter’s birthday party 🥳 and will eat only sardines when I’m hungry until Dr Boz’s live video on Tuesday evening. Then I will test my glucose and ketones to see what happens. It’s a little exciting to me!! Now to get my husband to join me 🫤🤭

Today I discovered that I had reached my goal weight of 169. 93 days of keto eating plan got me 36 lbs lost. Started at 205 mid January. I get keto rolling good with 2 meals 5-7 hours apart. However, One restaurant meal knocks me out of ketosis for 3-4 days. There's something they are putting in the food.

I truly believe that a potential cure for cancer lies somewehere in this information. Ive encounterd five stage four cancer sufferers who have eliminated their cancer using strict keto, intermittent fasting and prolonged fasting. Its definitely what i would follow for maintenance and prevention, but if i was a cancer sufferer, id be water fasting for 21 days and researching what these guys did to reverse their disease.

The best medical advice I've received has been online for free. Last time I seen my doc he wrote me a prescription which didn't help. My sister who works for him told me, 'most people with that condition have a gluten allergy.' So I cut out gluten, wheat for the most part. Within days the itchy bumps went away. Since then I seek remedy through diet and exercise. Saved thousands over the years....from back and foot pain to weight loss.

@Curdle McSmidge any carbs the body needs it can be made from protein. All of the body is made from protein and fat. The ancestral diet is 80% or more meat. Fasting is also normal. It triggers autophagy which is effectively the best body detoxing mechanism. Fixes broken systems. Also high carbs is biggest contribution to many major health problems and for someone like me, with factor 5 blood clotting disorder, carbs cause clotting at a higher rate. I used it eat high carbs. Became 300 lbs, depressed, clotted arteries, hormone problems and other issues. Since going keto am down in 180s, more flexible, energetic, happier, don't hunger and all around feel better in every way imaginable. Veganism or high carbs is not the way.

I'm glad I found these. I started transitioning to keto last summer, though I was never in full ketosis. I still incorporated a 16-hour fast into my daily routine, something which I mostly continued once I became unemployed and had a more open schedule. I still lost some weight, which I still count as a bonus. Eventually, thanks largely to my current low income, I had to go back to eating brown rice because of how affordable it was and how healthy it was for me. That also meant eating fruit again, something which I found to be a strange item to cut out completely. I get that the brown rice needed to be cut out due to its high carb content, but it's also a great food for reducing high blood pressure without medication. I now wonder if keto is the best diet option for me to lose the weight, particularly where one's lack of resources is available.

After keeping too much weight on and knowing better I was told I had become pre-diabetic. Never a problem before. I knew how to eat better. When younger I used to run and remember how I was drawn to the produce section at the stores and cringed when seeing all the candy and junk food . That was odd to me how that works but I started eating right and eliminated sugar and starches. I fasted and lost 30 going on 35 pounds now. I thought my hands hurt from decades of hard work but they stopped hurting. With that being said the annual screening for colon cancer missed something and a year later I had to have a section removed. The surgeon thought I wouldn't need chemo but tests afterwards showed I was at stage 3. I have 2 of 4 treatments left and eating even better now. What puzzles me is the lack of concern for nutrition by these doctors. Anyway I don't know if fasting is advisable during my treatments. I always stay hydrated but not sure of consequences not eating. Thanks.

I am a 53yo man and I was 297 lbs starting my Keto journey back in Feb 2023. In July 2023 I weighted in at 233. I am, was or still a Type 2 pre diabetic with a blood sugar hanging around 103-117 after my weight loss. Well! over the 4th of July holiday, I agreed to let myself "Cheat" for the entire week while my family was here. I ate a lot, I mean ALOT of carbs during that week. I had a few pounds of weight gain and but was very excited to get back into the Keto life. PROBLEM: It seems that I'm having a problem getting back into ketosis. When i started keto, I reached Ketosis within a couple days.....its been a week and zero results on keto pee strips or my Keto Mojo blood strips. Why is this happening now? I am strictly controlling my marcos: Fats 65%, Protein 30% and carbs less then 5% of my daily intake and no Ketosis! Anyone have some insight for me. I'm doing the bullet proof coffee, black with MCT Oil, and a 18/6 intermittent fasting and still no results. DR....is it possible that a body will never get back into Ketosis again?

Could you address fasting for autophagy and vestibular migraine? I am a sufferer and I know for sure that after the 20 hour mark the dizziness is triggered. I want to be able to reach autophagy without the discomfort of the symptoms of vestibular migraines. There are millions who suffer like me. Innately I know that even vestibular migraine can be cured via autophagy. I've already improved as before I would be triggered around the 14th hour. Now it's progresses to 20. Maybe you have some guidelines for people like me.

Hyperbaric oxygen will help with peripheral neuropathy. Unfortunately, it cannot enrich big pharma. So the FDA won't approve it as a treatment. So insurance companies won't cover it. If you want to try hyperbaric oxygen, you pretty much have to do what she did and buy your own chamber. And they're not cheap.

The hyperbaric chamber is O2 under pressure to the whole body. I have a recipe that I put in my nebulizer that has 2 ml saline solution, 5 drops of doTerra breathe or eucalyptus oil and 3 ml of H2O2. This helps me with any upper respiratory issues and saved my family and me during Covid. I would love to have access to a hyperbaric chamber and they are very healing. 😊

It is a struggle to try and follow your suggestions when you live in a town of less than 300 people with no access to steam baths, sauna or hyperbaric chambers. I have been faithfully following a carnivore diet for about three months. I am doing OMAD and fasting every other day which is essentially a 48 hour fast. I was doing well with that for about a month and then I started having difficulty with extreme weakness, feeling like I was going to pass out and my knees would actually start to buckle. So, I stopped the every other day fasting and have not done so for about 3 weeks. I am a type 2 diabetic and have been continuing to take my insulin and oral diabetic medication because my Doctor, who is actually a PA and is the only medical professional for 3 hours will not take me off the insulin. This is so frustrating. Anyway, I will try fasting again after I see my Doctor again on May 8th. Thank you for the video.

@@LifeIsWonderful675 Are you taking electrolytes daily and eating real salt or sea salt (intentionally) on or with your meals and in your water? On these diets you need to make sure your electrolytes remain in balance. Your body needs extra salt. If you've cut out a bunch of processed foods that had a bunch of salt/sodium in them, your body gets deleted of its salt stores quickly if you aren't feeding it salt on purpose. Also, our bodies need 4,700 mg of potassium each day. It's really hard for me to get that amount without taking a good electrolyte. One way to test my theory, that you need more salt, is to drink dill pickle juice when you're feeling weak. It'll perk your body right up. I buy Claussen's refrigerated + fermented dill pickles. They're in the refrigerated section in supermarkets and Walmart. They're healthier for you than the pickles on the shelves. Refrigerated sauerkraut - same. Healthier than those on the store shelves.

Ok. Then take yourself off insulin gradually. May of us are prediabetic. Lots of comments on holistic Drs on here whereby many people have reversed diabetes with diet, fasting, and exercise. I don't have specifics with exact recommendations with time and if carnivore or how long to fast. Really need to gradually work up from 16 hour fasts to prolonged fasting of 24, 48. You can't just flip the switch. Could take some a month or longer to work up to longer fasting. It depends on how old and other health conditions. Also, when you do especially long fasts you must break your fast with right protocol. Becareful what you eat or drink and how much. See Dr Berg , Dr Ekberg among others videos. And read comments of people that's been successful reversing diabetes Good luck

Dr Boz can you please clarify one thing regarding autophagy. I understand its function is largely recycling of damaged cells etc. My question is can I still eat plain fat? I am a keen cyclist and want to do a seven day fast but still cycle. If I’m just consuming fat (beef tallow), I should remain in autophagy -correct?
