Your sophistry is a nice try but the lingua franca (look it up) of modern American English generally recognizes a "doctor" as having the connotation of a medical doctor. Technically anyone with a PHD is a "doctor" true, but these chiropractors calling themselves "doctors" is a bit of chip on the shoulder, self deluding narcissistic crap.

They have fully earned the title of Doctor of Chiropractic. They spend 4 years of crazy intense education to get there. Doctors of Medicine spend 4 years of crazy intense education to get there. The word Doctor denotes the educational level...not their field of education.

@@tanksoldier its hard to imagine people not knowing this. The MINIMUM level of education currently for independent practice for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Practitioners. Pharmacists, Psychologist, Chiropractors, Podiatrists, Optometrists and on and on and on. Being a Doctor only denotes the LEVEL of education.
