Problem is, the NSP Midas doesn't have a flesh and blood body anymore. Right now they only used Midsummer Midas in the minigames. Not sure how they could bring him into the main storyline except as an alternative timeline variant, which would sadly limit how much screen time he'd have. Same goes for Beach Brutus, they won't be able to use that skin in their main storyline because NSP Brutus is dead. Such a waste. :(

Well, NSP has to try and steer their story arc closer to Epic's I.O./Doctor Slone plot, and the photos in Doctor Slone's underground HQ below Corny Complex hint that she and Midas and Marigold (who is a different character from Jules in Epic's version) and some others may have studied advanced physics together at a university (although the picture implies they were gifted teenagers then, on I.O. scholarships like young Slone who was literally recruited into I.O. by some Men in Black types).

Yeah, Oro already mentioned that once, back in Chapter 2 Season 2 Finale, during his big gloating Villain Speech in Oro's realm. But it never got mentioned again, evne thought I had hoped they would when Midas went on his journey in the Afterlife to find other gods (and found Lady Death). I suspect Oro originally stole the Light from another deity he murdered, possibly from the Autumn Queen of the Forest, the goddess Oro was disguised as when he gave Midas the "gift" of the Golden Touch as "thanks" for Midas bravely defending a woman he thought was a normal woman from attack of a shadowy monster. The "Autumn Queen" then told Midas she was a goddess and wanted to give him a gift. But it was Oro all along. And I suspect the shadow monster (that looked suspiciously like the one Enforcer turned into) was an illusion, too.

He shaped Midas into that tool by screwing up his life, cutting him off from all support by killing people dear to Midas (his wife, mother, daughter), alienating any possible allies (Slone, Ultimate Knight, Lynx, Meowcles, Skye etc), and forcing him onto the path to taking the other Disciples' power. Ultimately Oro didn't care about Midas, Midas was only a suitable tool for him, to be sucked dry of the stolen power once he had it and then discarded...

Er, Oro was a monster all throughout Chapter 2 Season 2! Oro merely lied to his Disciples, esp Ultima Knight, and pretended to be good, while sowing mistrust of Midas so his Disciples of the Light and Midas' agents would not help Midas and Midas would be all alone. Oro probably stole the Light from some other deity... probably the Autumn Queen of the forest, because Oro appeared to Midas in her guise and pretended he wanted to give him a "gift" as thanks for bravely coming to her aid (who Midas thought was a normal woman being threatened by a shadowy monster in the temple), and then stuck him with the Golden Touch.

The sad thing is, Dr. Slone didn't, couldn't, see Oro, and Midas has forgotten Oro appeared to him that day due to the amnesia treatment wiping out anything related to the Imagined Order and Slone. Oro only appeared to Midas to gloat, and I suspect he poisoned Slone's mind to make her ignore Midas' horrified reaction to the accident and his apologies and instead drug Midas. Another door slammed shut.

I wonder... in-game, the Doctor Slone NPC has an ability to split herself into three Slones, very similar to NSP Deadeye's trick to multiply himself by dragging in alternate reality selves to die in his stead. Although her ability might just be a hard-light version of GHOST's decoy grenades we had during Ch2S2 Spy Games. I wonder if Epic will ever tell us how she does it.
