Just for a little background. Bruce Campbell is Sam Raimi’s good friend and the lead in the Evil Dead films *and* there is a long standing tradition of Sam beating the living crap out of Bruce if given half a chance (on film). Thus it is very fitting that Sam would get a chance to make Bruce beat the crap out of himself as he did in Evil Dead 2. The fact that he tells us the movie is over *and* is talking about the end of Dr. strange’s spell is pretty damned hilarious!

So the Star motif of her powers, her jacket, and her name, America are all because she is an update/next generation of a Golden Age Marvel (technically Timely) character named, Miss America. She, the original was basically a Superman/Wonder Woman rip-off with the Nationalism themes you guys guessed. She had very few appearances even including throwback/flashback ones in modern comics. She had no Dimensional powers but could fly and had super strength. I don’t think any direct connections between the characters have ever been made narratively in the books. As just like the movie, America is from another dimension outside of the main Marvel canon and Miss America is WWII era character that died a LONG time ago.

Not to mention he said he would play him again and it’s been rumored he might direct the new Fantastic Four movie. Anson Mount as Black Bolt is the only one who could hypothetically return as a member. Not only was Peggy not Captain Carter in Earth 616 but this Captain Marvel is Maria Rambeau who we learned in WandaVision died on earth during the five years of the blip. In the comics the original members are actually; Socerer Supreme Doctor Strange, Professor X, Black Bolt, Reed Richards, Namor the Submariner and Tony Stark. So yes we finally see Professor Charles Xavier in the MCU or at least the MCM (Marvel Cinematic Multiverse) who exist in the public on this world to an unknown capacity rocking his Animated Series chair and suit while the 90s X-Men theme plays. I highly recommend checking out the X-Men Animated Series it's on Disney Plus and is up there with Batman: The Animated Series as one of the best superhero cartoons. It's unknown if Mutants even exist in Earth-616 as they've never been brought up all we can do is wait until they're introduced. Many people online believe this Professor X to be the one from the 1990s X-Men show which isn't the case. The X-Men 1990s show existed in a universe pretty similar to the mainline comic universe of Earth-616 it was just set in the 1990s where characters like Spider-Man got his powers in the 90s rather than the 1960s. It had many of the same story lines from the comic's but made changes to certain storylines to keep them fresh just like the MCU. This universe had character's like Captain America and Carol Danvers as Captain America which isn't the case for Earth-838 where Captain Carter is the first Avenger instead of Steve who's where about in this universe is unknown to us. Summed up this Professor X is inspired visually by the 1990s show while also drawing elements from the Fox X-Men movies such as quoting a line from Days of Futures Past and featuring Sir Patrick Stewart as the face of this Professor X. In Days of Future Past we do see Charles in a smaller yellow hover chair existing in this new future where everything seems more advanced. Many have theorized that Earth-838 could be the future of the Days of Future Past timeline but again this is all theories but I can see Charles chair from Days of Future Past advancing into the the chair we see in this film.

They can't use this version of Mr. Fantastic in the main MCU. Reed Richards's father is Nathaniel Richards, which is the real name of Kang/He Who Remains. The Kang of the main timeline is black, and no other timeline was allowed to exist in order for He Who Remains to maintain his complete control over reality. Since Reed Richards would have been born before the point in time where Sylvie freed the multiverse, any Reed in the MCU would still have to be the son of He Who Remains, not any other version of Nate Richards. Main MCU Reed has to be at least half black.

1.The green bull is Rintrah, a creature from the dimension called R'vaal. 2.The Octopus thing is is Shuma-Gorath. 3.Theron is playing Clea, the Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension and Dorammu' niece, daughter of Umar (he didn't always look like that, he was like the What If Dr. Strange corrupted in the search of ultimate power), and eventually Dr. Strange's wife. 4.America Chavez is "The Defender of the Multiverse". She's wise cracking, one of the first queer Latina characters. Has been a member of the Ultimates, She-Hulk's A-Force, The West Coast Avengers and Young Avengers (which Marvel is seemingly building up now). Best friends with Kate Bishop. She has also worked with S.H.E.I.L.D. under the code name Captain America. The story of her origin is what she "believes" in the comics, but there is a twist to it. She goes by Miss America or Ms America. Has a little sister, Catalina. She has super-human strength and speed, flight and invulnerability. She can also travel between cities and dimensions through her star portals.

Fun fact 1. The monster at the beginning was a huge easter egg of ridiculous foreshadowing. That eye was really an optometrists scan of Elizabeth Olsen's eye. Fun fact 2. Sam Raimi had to do reshoots because he made a "Marvel" movie. They wanted him to go crazy and wanted a "Sam Raimi" movie. Hence the visual call backs to Evil Dead. Disclaimer: information was gathered from reputable online sources so if you think I'm wrong troll someone else.

12:30 Wanda could've tempted them with hoverbikes. 31:18 America hasn't been around much longer than a decade and wasn't exactly a regular character during that time. Al Ewing's Ultimate series from about 7 years ago is the only one I've read with her in it (he is doing another series with her soon).

Her first major series that I remember reading was Young Avengers v2 back in like 2013 which also featured Wanda’s kids Billy and Tommy. Well more Billy and his boyfriend but still.

I don't know much about America Chavez, but I do know one of her most OP moments was tapping into the same dimension that empowers Cyclops (the X-Man who shoots building-leveling rays from his eyes, unless he puts on his visor). Apparently it fulfilled a meme: "PUNCHES FROM THE PUNCH DIMENSION."

Directed by Sam Raimi which is why its diff from many other Marvel Films and if you noticed a bunch of easter eggs for living dead in there

I still don't know how I feel about this movie. I love Sam Raimi's style of film-making and you can see his Evil Dead fingerprints all over it... but the writing was just *so bad* in certain places and the cameos felt like cosplay.

I don’t know what will happen with Wanda in the future, but I don’t think there’s any going back from her having killed dozens and dozens of people. You can’t really just go the hero route with her again, it’s a hard thing to overlook straight up murder lol

Loki...
@TheLastOfTheRockstarsU22 жыл бұрын
@@nrgspike yeah but they never went full hero route with Loki, he redeemed himself to better himself, but no one‘s considering him a hero or an avenger. And I also think we only saw him kill people while under the influence of Thanos and the mind stone he carried. We saw pretty clearly from that scene of the avengers when Bruce is holding the scepter how the mine stone can change your personality, he didn’t even realize he had grabbed it.
@TheLastOfTheRockstarsU22 жыл бұрын
He also sacrificed himself. So I could see Wanda doing a good deed, but giving her life for it. It’s like Kylo Ren syndrome, you can’t have somebody kill Han Solo and then turn good and just continue on, they have to go.

That's why imo the best thing is to leave her fate as we saw it. She wasn't a hero in the end, but she did what was right.

Theron is Clea, Dormammu 's niece. Her mother is Dormammus sister Umar. She is half Faltine, she is from the dark dimension. She is Strange's one true love from the comics. She is VERY VERY powerful and currently in the comics the Sorcerer Supreme. America Chavez is extra dimensional being who has ridiculous powers besides universe traversal. She is literally wonder woman, superman, captain marvel on crack. Its just like you said... she powerful enough to punch holes through the fabric of reality, In the comics she dummy powerful.

If I'm being honest, the movie looks great and is a ton of fun. But you can tell things got sort of clunky with the script and timeline with COVID/reshoots. I'm really hoping they find a way to smooth out some of the inconsistencies since the multiverse plot has been confirmed. Right now it sort of seems jumbled, unless someone can help me out and explain it like I'm 5.
@ge27192 жыл бұрын
what seems jumbled exactly?
@rafaelrose142 жыл бұрын
the thing is they had to cut more footage, probably bcs this should be come before spiderman nwh but got delayed and being cut again bcs of reshoot or whatever reason, this should be 3 hours long movie but they cut it to 2 hours long
@itsrickus35822 жыл бұрын
@@ge2719 personally I feel like the different explanations of the multiverse via the shows and movies don't align - Wanda created a reality from within her which I get isn't necessarily a multiverse thing, but in SMNWH it was opened from a spell that Strange messed up, in Loki it was Khang getting killed that released the multiverse, then in this, dreams are alternate versions of themselves. It just seems like a lot is being moved around in such a short amount of stuff.
@itsrickus35822 жыл бұрын
Also - Mysterio in Far From Home literally named this multiverse as 616 but was putting on an act, only for it to actually be 616. So things are just a bit jumbled for me.
@itsrickus35822 жыл бұрын
@@rafaelrose14 yeah that's what I had heard - again I really enjoyed it but I just am having a hard time grasping all that's happening with how the whole multiverse process works. I felt in the previous phases everything was such a smooth road map with developing the Avengers and incorporating the infinity stones with an ultimate climax in destroying Thanos.

The character played by Charlize Theron in the post credit scene is Clea...You can see her opening a portal to the Dark Dimension. In comics, Clea comes from the dark dimension...Dormammu is her maternal uncle...she became the disciple of Stephan Strange and and later also bacome ruler of the Dark Dimension...they also fall in love and get married...Hence her full name is Clea Strange...After a certain events...Stephan Strange is about to die and just prior to his death, he passes on the Eye of Agamotto and the Cloak of Levitation to Clea making her the new Sorcerer Supreme. So basically Doctor Strange now dead in comics and his widowed wife Clea Strange is the current Sorcerer Supreme.

So I don’t know about much about America Chavezz other than her power is unique since she’s literally the only version of her that exists. Charlize Theron is playing Clea, who is Dormammu’s niece and Dr. Strange’s wife in the comics.

In comics, America Chavez comes from the Utopian Parallel where everyone is a female...Utopian Parallel is a reality outside of time and space...she "kicks" open star shaped portals and travel throughout the Multiverse...but in the movie it seems that she can kick open, punch open or just open a portal when scared.
