7:48 Peter was able to pair Doc Ock's arms because in Spiderman 2, Otto explains that the arms are made of a prototype form of nanotechnology. Since Tony Stark's spidey suit for Peter is an advanced form of nanotech, Peter was able to take over the arms easily.

@@5calambres I've long been looking for if there is a trope name for something being created to do good, that mostly ends up just fighting the things that only exist because of it. Almost making you wonder if there was much point in the end, as it never gets anything else done. The Iron Man comics were almost entirely built around him fighting stolen tech that wouldn't exist if he didn't create Iron Man. It's not limited to Iron Man either. The tv show Chuck, the intersect was created to do good. Almost the entirety of missions ended up being trying to protect the intersect to keep it from falling into the wrong hands, or fighting other varients of the Intersect.

So these villains went back to alternate universes ones where they survived rather than returning to the main universes we saw in the films. Every choice creates a branched universe an infinite amount so instead of rewriting the history of the films the cosmos create alternated universes. Think of it as tree's with the Main MCU/Rami/Webb being the Tree and the branches being different universes based off the main MCU/Sami/Webb where events played out differently. Same thing applies to the comic's, games, movies, and shows all have their original universe (Tree) but also branched off versions where choices played out differently but the overall artistic stayed the same which is why the MCU artistic carries over into the What If series along with the renditions of events from the MCU. We also have Marvel's Dimensions which act as realms beyond like The Dark Dimension but Marvel also uses the term for the many Spider universes overseen by Madam Web like the Spider-Verse which seems to act more like how DC universes operate different Earths vibrating at different frequency's instead of time. This just say that Marvel uses all theories of Multiverse types which all could be true when looked at from our world. DC of course has 52 Main Earth's but there's no doubt an infinite amount outside of this collection. Spider-Man 1 to 3 of course still happened but there's now at least two different Sam Rami branch universes one where Goblin didn't die and another where Doc Ock somehow survived by finding a different way to stop his machine. Spider-Man 2 would've played out totally different if Norman was still alive who knows maybe Doc Ock's project could've worked in this universe with the help of Norman instead of Harry who really just funded the projected. Unsure about Sandman he could've just returned to the main Sam Rami universe but you know he's cured now. But if he was pulled out right when he found out Peter was Spider-Man then this would've created another universe one where maybe he no longer could've helped Venom in his fight against Spider-Man making it much easier for Peter. Harry could've also survived as well in this universe. Sam Rami Universe's Main: Spider-Man 1 to Spider-Man 3 (These play out the same) Alternate Universe 1: Spider-Man 1 (Goblin doesn't die and hopefully carries on with his company but who knows if he'll return to his testing) Alternate Universe 2: Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2 (Goblin still dies in the universe with Spider-Man 1 playing out the same but in Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock lives and most likely Carries on being good hell maybe he marries Aunt May like in the comic's. No doubt Spider-Man 3 would play out pretty different but who knows.) Marc Webb Universe's Main: The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 (These play out the same) Alternate 1: The Amazing Spider-Man 1 (Lizard is cured early maybe Gwen's Dad doesn't die in this universe depending on when Lizard was pulled out) Alternate 2: The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 (In this universe the first move plays out the same but in the 2nd Electro pretty much survives returning with a new look which no doubt being a big surprise to Peter) Notes on the people in the sky below In that shot of the sky being ripped open you can kind of make out a bunch of Spider-Man villains. The one with the Spear is Kraven The Hunter, The character with the long looking stinger is Scorpion, There's a person who looks kind of like Black Cat, We also see a character with a horn who looks like the classic Rhino in that skin tight suit rather than the militant looking mech suit in Amazing Spider-Man 2, Mysterio which i kind of see could be another Mysterio from a different universe, and finally Superior Spider-Man with the tentacles on his back pretty much a story where Doc Ock took over Peter's Body and became Superior Spider-Man. This is all still up for debate as many people think Mysterio was actually Spider-Qwen and that the large head was just her hood rather than a Mysterio glass helmet. Other people think they saw Miles as well a skinny tall humanoid shape which suits his character while other people have brought up Madame Web.

Here's the really sad version of the end of their stories: all these villains still die after returning to their origin places. Remember, they were all plucked out mere moments before death -- Osbourne was himself just before/as the glider crashed into him (asking Peter not to tell Harry), Octavius had an inexplicable last-second realization and change of heart that led to him sacrificing himself to save the city from his own experiment... I don't recall how Sandman ended up, though. Still, Electro was in the process of dieing when he was pulled out. I'm worried that none of these guys made it out alive.

I absolutely love this movie, especially since they took a pretty bad comic storyline, One More Day, and made it work. In the comics, Spider-man "makes a deal with the devil" to save Aunt May's life at the expense of his marriage to MJ. The changes they make where it's Peter sacrificing his entire existence to prevent a catastrophe just makes more sense! While Far From Home is my favorite of the MCU/Sony Spider-Man movies, Homecoming and No Way Home are not far behind it! Also in the comics, Ned is one of the identities of the Hobgoblin, though he originally wasn't supposed to be (that's a really long and convoluted story that deals with the business politics of Marvel Comics at the time). I laughed real hard in the theater when Ned said he wouldn't become a supervillain and try to kill Peter!

It's a supernatural ability to detect danger, which is why it's able to counter Strange's magic, even without Peter being in his body. In the animated Spider-Verse, it allowed the alternate Spider people to recognize that they were variants of each other, but it's also visible just before Miles has to avoid a danger he can't necessarily see. I kinda wish they would start showing that outside of the astral form because it looks awesome.

Peter was able to keep the box away from strange because of his Spider-Sense. It's not a conscious power, it happens automatically and the intensity of the danger has a direct affect on how powerful the sense is. It's linked to his reflexes, and while he's in control he has nearly full control of those reflexes, so he has to react to the sense himself, but with him out of his body the Spider-Sense was in full control, letting his body dodge Doctor Strange. (This may also be a hint that Spider-Totems are a thing in there MCU, as the Spider-Sense was shown in his astral body, something more mystical than scientific. Spider-Totems are basically an essential part of the Multiverse in the comics, connected to a web connecting the universes, with a Spider-Person in every one of those universes, and part of Spider-Man's abilities come from his connection to that web of universes.) "I'm sorry what was your name again?" "Dr. Otto Octavius" "Laughs" What's so funny about his name Peter Parker? Your name is no better than Stephen Strange, Pepper Potts, Happy Hogan, Betty Brant, Bruce Banner, Matt Murdock, Bucky Barnes ect... Is it funny because of the 8 motif or the alliteration? I'm joking, I love Peter. The home trilogy essentially is an origin story for Spider-Man.

Neds character was originally the hobgoblin so it’ll be interesting to see what they do with him in the future. I think a magically talented goblin would be an awesome villain. And I can’t wait to see a new black suit spiderman too

I liked the movie, but there was definitely a major case here of something dumb happening just because the plot said so. A simple discussion of all the specifics first before getting the spell started. That's all they needed to prevent all of the trouble. But the plot needed the spell to spiral out of control, so they gave Strange this weird rush to get the spell started as soon as possible with a bare minimum of information so they could have Peter interrupt as his concerns came to mind.

They gave AVI ARAD a big thank you in the credits But do you know who else deserves a big thank you? LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her partner (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the original trilogy and TASM1 had depth Arad on the other hand just wanted to use the movies to sell toys

Ned becomes the Hob Goblin in the comics, that whole bit where he swears that he won't become a super villain and try to kill Peter was a nod to that.

I honestly feel that Garfield was the best part of this film. His performance was just outstanding... and the moment he saved MJ... I bawled my eyes out. I was never a fan of Maguire as Spider-man, but it was still cool to see him return to the role.

Peter wanted to prevent their deaths, cure them, and change times. That would mess with time and provoke the TVA Strange said that if they die, they die. Basically, meaning their Deaths is a *"Cannon Event"* (Miguel O'Hara, Across the Spiderverse)

For the spell, I think it basically erased Peter Parker from existence. So, with respects to Happy, Aunt May didn't have a nephew staying with her. Peter never went to school. He wasn't born. No record or memory of his exists. Peter isn't really Peter to anyone anymore but himself. With respects to his non spiderman persona, he's an illegal immigrant. At least, that's what I got from the show.

As far as dark paths not travelled go, in the comics Peter literally killed Ned Leeds. If they ever announce a Wolverine vs Spider-Man movie, be very, very afraid. As long term planning goes, it would be the MCU's unabashed drop the mike moment.

A lot of people seem to forget that the avengers don’t technically exist anymore. Atleast not in the same capacity. Tony and cap tan the show and neither of them are In commission. Falcon is doing his own thing, wanda and vision are going through their own shenanigans, Natasha is dead, fury is off world, and Hawkeye is retired. It’s literally just, Wong, strange, Bruce, the wakandans, and carol at the moment. Also, Peter was technically never a official member. He rejected Starks offer to introduce him in homecoming. He was more of an affiliate. And that was before everyone knew he was a minor too.

What I love about aunt May saying the quote is that is was quoted properly instead of "comes great responsibility" the very first time the quote was used was by the narrator in the comic "with great power there must also come -- great responsibility!" But I guess as a shortened version "with great power comes great responsibility" is fine as well.

Enjoyed watching this Spider-Man over the weekend. My only criticism being that it wasn’t a 6-8 part episode tv show so we could have more character development for our heroes and the villains. I could watch a whole one hour fish out of water episode of Tobey Maguire trying figure out what’s happened before he links up with Andrew Garfield.

I loved that the Spiderman from "The Amazing Spiderman" had the scene where he is downplaying why he sucks because his main enemy was a robot rhino so that the other Spidermen could convince him to tell himself he is "amazing". They really did a good job on fan service without it being lame, derivative, or pointless, as the story was well written and it rebooted Spiderman in a cool way.
