I use to love this channel so much and watched your videos day and night. I have truly transformed my skin to healthy, glowing skin by using many of the products you recommended from other brands. But now it seems like all you are doing is promoting your products. I have purchased your products, to include the lip and under eye pigmentation kit (used for 6 months). However, I didn't see any positive results. Just dryness under the eye. I do not have serious pigmentation issues in those areas, but wanted to purchase your products because I loved what you were doing for the skin on color community. I understand the need to promote your products, but it would be great if you could go back to recommending more safe products from other brands, especially because it is rather difficult to get a hold of your products here in the US.

Hi doctor V. I am 32 and for the past 2 months have had acne. It used to be hormonal but is now constant. I also suffer from pigmentation and my skin is oily. I am based in SA and The Ordinary products from Cult Beauty are the most affordable products for me. I have purchased Azelaic Acid. Alpha Arbutin, 5% Granactive Retinoid, Niacinamide and NMF moisturizing factors. I am about to purchase the Salicylic Acid face wash from thr Inkey List and the Salicylic mask from The Ordinary. Must I alternate the Azelaic acid and the Salicylic washes or because they are wash off products then I can use all them at once? I am just so overwhelmed with all of the informative videos I've seen. I have yet to see a video where you adress acne oily prone pigmented skin and which products especially from The Inkey List, The Ordinary or any affordable brands you can use at onc. All the videos I have seen address individual problems and not all the possible issues one can have. Can you do a series like that? Maybe do a video that addresses dry acne pigmented skin, oily acne pigmented skin, dry anti aging skin, oily anti aging skin, combination acne prone pigmented skin etc? I know you have done many videos with The Ordinary but I need a regimen that will tackle all the skincare issues I have in one regimen?

Dr. V doesn't recommend chemical sunscreens for skin of color. She says it causes a chemical reaction when the sun rays hit the skin which can be problematic for skin of color. She recommends her own physical zinc based sunscreen, or any drugstore zinc based products.

Have you thought about making a single item brightening product like a serum or toner, or selling items in your kit individual? I've look at your kits and they look like the have amazing ingredients but most of them require 2 -3 steps, and realistically there isn't a place in my routine or busy schedule for 2 - 3 more steps. I know that if I bought the kit I wouldn't be able to commit to it the way i would need to see results. It also doesn't make sense for me to buy a kit just so that I can use one product. So consider allowing customer the ability to purchase the items in the kit separately and consider making a brighten serum and/or toner so that we can fit brighten ingredient into our routine and life's.
