I made a film for my class about time travel. I needed fitting music. So the film ended up being Doctor Who. It was freaking amazing.

@Rebecca Deakin it says so in the name of his craft TARDIS- Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. The TARDIS can allow the Doctor to access parallel dimensions and mirror universes where unfolding events MIGHT have been in relative connection to any/all previous encounters in correlation to that given point in time/space (I. E. imagine if there WERE demon spirits that looked like ‘weeping angel’ cemetery gravestones)

I actually like this Series 5 opening theme because it has a 60s type of feel to it. It's not overbearing nor overly busy...as in Series 1-4....just a bit more groovy cool sounding...cool synth sound. Not bombarding you over the head like the others. Good job Murray Gold!

This version's cinematics might be my all-time favorite yet. All the insanity outside the Tardis and even having the Tardis get struck by lightning gives this impression like something is going horribly wrong, which really gives a feeling of intensity to the opening.

I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I definitely prefer the theme from 2010 onwards to the themes for the 9th and 10th doctors' runs. I don't know why, but I find this version to incite more of a spirit of adventure and just seems to fit the point of the show better. The 9 and 10 versions are fine, don't get me wrong, but there's something about the tone in which they're composed that doesn't appeal to me as much. To each his own, I suppose.

I think that an awesome idea for Season 8's theme would be add the echo and the spangle thingy from the 1968-1980 arrangements, and at the end of the theme, when you hear the lead as well as the backing strings and horns, have a long, slowly decaying echo of the bass - Will put some emphasis on the electronic part of the song.
