I watched NuWho first and I knew it tried to be more family oriented. Not knowing much about Torchwood (except that is was a spin off and was about Jack) I was under the impression that is was also family oriented. That is, until episode 2 of season 1, when there was a sex scene and cursing. I was like wtf? And rewinded the cursing and coming and going comment? Then I realize that Torchwood is adult. 😂😂😂

I liked Mickey, but he was a bit hung up on Rose throughout the first season. He was better in the second season, partially because he seemed to get over her and start working for himself, but mostly because the authors finally made him the badass he deserved to be.

Yeah, Mickey joined Torchwood in the parallel world and was a big part in making the dimension cannon to get back. Then, come fourth season, he came back with Jackie to help Rose find the Doctor and stop the destruction of that universe, as theirs was already breaking down. He got with Martha, the last time he was seen, on original Earth.

Moffat had a large part in defining his character, Russell said himself he rewrote most other peoples scripts except Moffats because he liked them and the characters. Russell created the character, but Moffat initially wrote him, and he did a good job of it in my opinion. Russell continued to build off of Moffats foundation for the character in Torchwood.
