Watching this back its so cool to hear the dalek theme rising up in the background as the Cyberman is saying 'the sphere is not ours.' That subtle foreshadowing that you don't really notice on a first watch

I remember how big of a hype the ending was for this episode. Up until this point we had only seen Daleks and cybermen separately and never together, so this was a big deal

I have honestly never seen an opening to a show that gave me more of a sense of overwhelming dread than this one. Really, really good writing on their part.

For us Classic Who fans this was a very big deal of an episode as this was the first time ever that The Daleks and The Cybermen meet one another on screen as it never happened before.

Surely someone has pointed out by now that Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who. And if you recall it was Queen Victoria who created Torchwood - to oppose the Doctor and all aliens.
