Thank you, Andrew! ⏳ Since you asked, I can't think of any other instances where a DOCTOR WHO character lived and entire life and then was snapped back to the start... but I can easily correlate that scenario to one of my favorite episodes of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION called "The Inner Light". It still makes me cry when I rewatch it. And the orchestral suite for it is top tier.

Star Trek movies and shows are on my lists to potentially do reactions on the channel at some point. I've watched almost nothing. A handful of episodes of TNG over the years and the first season of Picard. That's it. So, some potential video options there for sure. I've always enjoyed TNG whenever I've watched it.

@@SeenEverything I've watched and enjoyed every STAR TREK... but I think DEEP SPACE NINE was my favorite of all even though it took a couple seasons to find its groove. VOYAGER and ENTERPRISE were close runners up. THE NEXT GENERATION started getting good in Season 3. I vibed the least with DISCOVERY, but there are still some episodes, arcs and characters from it that I treasure. I adored PICARD and, so far, I think STRANGE NEW WORLDS is excellent. And I'm very hyped for STARFLEET ACADEMY, which is set for a 2026 release!!! 🖖 Do you think you'll ever do the STAR WARS tv series?

@@auntvesuvi3872 First, I'd interested to hear what you think about the Star Trek movies too. As for Star Wars, that is another franchise where there is still a lot for me to do. I grew up during the latter part of the original trilogy, but I just never got into them for whatever reason. I've seen the original trilogy and a couple other movies, but all of it was quite a while ago. I have seen nothing else. No TV shows. No animation. So, it's definitely a strong possibility. Some other big franchises are possibilities too.

@@SeenEverything The fandom generally thinks only the even numbered STAR TREK movies are good. 😆 I found things to love in all of them... but from the original cast, my top three are STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE (1979), STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KAHN (1982) and STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME (1986). I loved all four of the movies featuring the NEXT GENERATION cast. My top tier would contain STAR TREK GENERATIONS (1994), STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT (1996) and STAR TREK NEMESIS (2002). The STAR TREK: THE ANIMATED SERIES (1973 through 1975) was huge for me as a kid, since there were no new live action series in production at the time. Recent STAR TREK animated series have been great, too. STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS (2020 through 2024) leans in heavily to comedy and callbacks but it even had a live-action crossover in an episode of STRANGE NEW WORLDS! STAR TREK: PRODIGY (2021 through 2024) had a strong connection to STAR TREK: VOYAGER and was more serious, but still aimed at teens. 🌌 As for STAR WARS, that is my main passion. Most are aimed at kids... but ANDOR (2022) finally gave us an adult offering. To date, it's my favorite of all... and a second season is set to release in 2025. ANDOR's episodes are loosely structured in arcs of three. If you watch one at a time, it can seem pretty unsatisfying as they are paced for people with patience. But watched in threes, Season 1 is like four movies. By the time Season 2 comes out, it'll be like eight movies with ROGUE ONE as an epilogue... a 9 piece saga of its own. To be clear, ANDOR's main character's storyline culminated in the movie ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY (2016), which is set just before and leads directly into STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE (1977). But the ANDOR series itself is painting a most fascinating set of characters and events that reveal the inner workings of isolated Rebellion cells and how the Galactic Empire responds. And it's devoid of Jedi. It's strictly about regular citizens. The mystical stuff about the Jedi is what I thought I loved most about STAR WARS, but turns out I love good writing and nuanced performances even more. 🔸 There's so much STAR WARS, too... including the animated series. They truly improve the live-action stuff. But I have so enjoyed the live-action tv series. Aside from ANDOR's excellence, the quality of the other shows is uneven, but worth seeing all the puzzle pieces align... and the world building really appeals to me. And STAR WARS is interesting as a phenomenon since it was never made in chronological order. It jumps all over the place. The current series, THE ACOLYTE, is the earliest live-action representation thus far, occurring a century before the events of STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE (1999). To many, it's maddening as the makers seem to recontextualize constantly. But I've grown to see that as its most interesting feature. And you and I are no strangers to time travel appreciation. 😉 Everyone has an opinion on what order they should be watched in. But that'll be up to you on what kind of experience you want. I can help when you're ready.

Come to think of it now, I think I did watch Star Trek Generations a million years ago when it came out, because it featured both Picard and Kirk. But it was so long ago that I don't remember much. Are the Abrams Star Trek movies worth anything? As for Star Wars, I do remember hearing about Andor being a sleeper hit and much more adult in tone. I do know enough to know that is a prequel series to Rogue One for Diego Luna's character. I did watch some reaction content for Andor and Mandalorian, but not enough to have a solid idea what was going on. This is part of the reason I don't just want to do first time reactions on this channel. If I'm going to do something like Star Wars, I'm almost certainly going to do the whole thing. At least all the live action. Likely starting with the movies in release order. Though I may change strategy there if something else makes sense. But I think there is value to watch-alongs, even if its technically not the first time I've seen something. Especially if it's been a long time. On some of these things, it's been so long it's pretty much like watching them for the first time. I also think there's value to doing watch-alongs on a person's favorite movies. So, I'm trying to expand the idea of reaction content a little on this channel. It may work or it may not. I've even recently started thinking about potentially doing Second Chance viewings too. Giving movies I didn't like, but that a lot of other people do, a second chance. So, I have a lot of ideas about things to explore. Thank you for taking the time to to go into such depth on this for me. It's honestly all very helpful.
