What was your favourite Steven Moffat episode? Mine has to be HEAVEN SENT! Capaldi's acting was great, some of the best dialogue of the series, and that final scene punching the wall just always get to me! Absolute masterpiece!

Why did the doctor not use the sonic to deactivate the land mine?

Imo, this episode would be a banger if it was in a book instead of an episode, because then we'd have the soldiers PoVs and backstories. But it was a good one for me, although it's more in the "good episodes to remember" rather than "oh, I wish I could show this episode for everyone!" category. I think what was essentially lacking in the soldiers was the reason why they can't stop the battle, there would be some sort of punishment if they didn't go forward? It seems kinda lame the motivation is just "we have faith so we have to continue the battle". Again, in a book maybe we'd have all the answers.

Glad you loved this episode! Probably the best episode of Doctor who I’ve seen since 2017! Moffatt is as great as ever, and this truly defined Ncuti as the Doctor, full of tension and suspense and great story!

Speaking of bottle episodes I would probably have to say “Teddy Perkins” Atlanta, “Cooperative Calligraphy” Community and “The Box” Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Purely for Glover’s, Brown’s and Stanfield’s acting 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️
