The way that Dalek gets Van Statten's confession is rather human. Backing him up closer and closer to the wall by simply advancing with obvious hostile intent, staying silent until he's up against the wall which is when he'll finally give a straight answer.

Always loved that line...even the dalek had it all figured out...and I believe it did strike a nerve with the doctor that the words were put out there to him to acknowledge it...and for rose as well...remember in the one with the slitheen where they are sealed in the cabinet and he wants to launch a missile and she says do it and so he admits it (indirectly) I could save the world but lose you...and he can't bare it...love the subtle implications and the intense chemistry...9 is my fave even though he had such a short run...

​@@severalcakes3267lighting was pretty weird in this episode , character options can't seem to nail the right bronze with gold band cos the lighting makes it look so inconsistent, even this years history of the daleks set hasn't got it right

@@JP-yf2fk I almost forgot that Supreme and Emperor Daleks have pride as well as arrogance. Don't forget some Daleks have DEADLY curiosity like the Dalek Time War Strategist.
