Spearhead from Space is a favourite of mine. It's quite a basic story all occurring on contemporary Earth. Has good pace, story, funny scenes, action. Something to do with the way they're directed.

The era when I first started watching the programme as a 6 year old. As I was a WW2 and military fanatic I enjoyed Unit taking on the monsters. The Sea Devils being the first episode I always remember. Davros was one that kept me behind the sofa though! Watched the programme up until the end of Tom Baker's stint as the Doctor but then started watching again in 2005 when it made it's return. Scripts are far to comlex for 6 year olds to understand now imao.
