I'll never hate a Cyberman story. Daleks might be the most iconic villain but the Cybermen will always be the scariest. Can't wait to see them again one day, hopefully with Fifteen!

I can remember watching them being brought back in the rise of the Cybermen and age of steel I think the torchwood episode cyber woman was perhaps the Scariest cyberman story Possibly because it brought home who the Cybermen are. more recent episodes have done that to some degree
@DrKnockers054 күн бұрын
@eliotreader8220 That Torchwood episode has its faults (*cough* Cyber heels *cough cough*) but I do love how we get to see the more gruesome side of being turned into a Cyberman, which compliments the emotional aspect of Ianto and Lisa all the more 👀

@@StanCoffee123 Yeah, guess so. Though the whole concept of becoming a Cyberman sounds more grim than becoming a Borg. Particularly if you go by how Cybermen conversions are done in Series 2 compared to how Borg assimilations can be undone.

@AndrewChapman yes, and I was confused by the regeneration scene, but I was cool with Patrick Troughton after a while. I was smacked with a wooden spoon during nap time at pre-school for talking about The War Machines. So if that doesn't cement my nerd cred, nothing does.

I find it humoring that even in Chibnall era, Cybus Cyberman model hasn't really left seeing how Cyber Drones were flying Cybus Cyberman heads and Ashad was accompanied by pair Cybus Cybermen modeled Mondasian Cybermen, I could guess all remained Cyberiad Cybermen were called to remodeling into Cyber-Warriors then put in storage. Though *The Doctor Falls* that featured Mondasian, Cybus and Cyberiad models is right up with how in Skaro command (seen in *The Magician's Apprentice* and *The Witch's Familiar* aka 2 part Series 9 premiere) featured different Daleks across they history.

Cybermen scariest Doctor Who characters ever. The Delaks are legendeary and all, but the Cybermen literally transform their bodies into machines and if they have any memories of their past selves, their emotions can actually kill them. Just Damn.

The early skiimask cybermen are iinda hilarious by today's standards, and the tinfoil suits give kinda early bond movie vibes. This really puts in perspective 8h how far the movie/show industry has come. Not only with the computer made visuals like explosions, cgi and old cringey laser beams, but costume desing and everything else. Yet still the old ones have their rightful place in history of film.
@peterweeks20666 күн бұрын
I disagree to some extent. The early serials showed the organic components of the Cybermen. Later designs made them appear as mere robots with no original human inside. The 12th doctor story did much to return to the body horror of the original.

What I want to know is why the Warrior Cybermen had spikes on them. The Cybermen aren't the type of creature to randomly slap bits on for the sake of "coolness" and aesthetics, and those spikes served no real purpose.
