11, Amy, and Rory are my all time favorite TARDIS team! Thats why series 6 is my favorite season as well. Plus Matt had the best sonic screwdriver and the best TARDIS console (tied with Capaldi). Matt may have been the youngest but he knocked it out of the park each time. He is one of the best doctors the show has ever had!

Smith had a rocky start, had some questionable writing at times but what made him great is the fact he didn't step into someone elses shoes, he brought his own pair and he walked flawlessly.

Not entering the "best Doctor" argument, but best season(s) overall for sure! Brilliant idea to have family companions, great commitment on Matt, Caren and Arthur to keep the show _that_ long (too bad Jenna did not keep her role longer than she did). But don't forget Moffat! He is the true person behind it all! His "nonlinear time" plots and twists and contra-motions are absolutely unrivaled! Time plots of the main arc alone are among the best in the whole global world of time-travelling SciFi! The rest of the team "just" had to present it all in emotionally relevant form... For me, this was a true peak of the series (though I enjoy some other Doctors and companions and authors and plots).

started watching Dr. Who back in the 70s when the Doctor was Tom Baker. I have to say that the 10th, 11th, and 12th are best of them all. of the three, I can't and won't make a choice of which one is the best. my biggest problem is who is my favorite companion. Amy, Rose and Clara are all babes but so was Teagan when she was with Tom Baker.
