When we filmed Survival the weather was very hot, especially on the day we filmed the motorbikes crash, and I think the nice weather also contributed to fellow cast and crew members being more playful, most of us probably had sun stroke!!!!!, it was a lot of fun, and one of my favorite jobs out of many I did for the BBC.

They didn't know the show was over at the time of filming did they? Unless I'm mistaken, I believe it just wasn't picked up for another season, there was no telling the crew that it was over, they just never got the call to come in again.

Met Sylvestor McCoy at Collectormania in May last year - the guy was amazing and possibly one of the loveliest men I've ever met! It was at the end of the day, so my friends and I ended up spending about 45mins with him and Paul McGann (they were sitting next to each other at the autograph tables) and just talked. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had and I'll never forget it!

+Olivia McDonagh Sylvester and Nicholas courtney were the best ones i've met. It was a real honor to meet Nicholas since he died not even a year later:( But damn Sylvester was awesome, drinking coffee with him is one of the best things i have ever done. And the devotion is mind blowing!, he literally just came off a week long cruise that he did right after filming the Hobbit. He was tired but he told the convention director that he would carry on. He basically wanted to give everyone an autograph even if it maybe wasnt possible

Many years ago I saw Sylvester McCoy in a preview of a production of The Taming of the Shrew (with Tim Dalton and Vanessa Redgrave in the leads). At one point he played the spoons and they fell apart as he was in mid flow. Picking them up, he looked into the auditorium and, still in character, said "It'll all be right on the night" and carried on as though nothing had happened. He's a wonderful clown! I'm still chortling at the thought that moment.

Ah some of the outtakes from "Survival", it might be over 30 years ago, when I worked on that, but I remember them well, one of my favorite jobs of many I did for the BBC over the years, and such a nice fellow cast and crew to work with. GREAT seeing these clips of my found memories.

Zacharias Quicksilver Absolutely, theres a few silly stories but McCoy was a great doctor. Starts as a bit of a clown, then he becomes more of a dark and mysterious master chess player.
