Question: How long will you play the role of the Doctor? Steven: Forever. Matt: For an infinite number of years. How I wish that these things were true, I'll miss Matt so much. When David started regenerating, I shed so many tears and I thought to myself: "This is probably going to be the most emotional regeneration for me." Seems I was wrong ... I'm still refusing to believe that this was Matt's last series in Doctor Who, even the thought of Matt leaving the show brings tears to my eyes. :-'(

Yeah, but this short is more than one year old now and we saw River plenty of time since then. "Last Night" is just the 5 minutes before "Silence in the Library" where she dies. It doesn't mean we won't see River again (of course we will).

3 seasons is the average. But then you have to remember that Christopher Eccleston was on for only 1 season and Tom Baker was on for 12 seasons, but most doctors are on for only 2-4 seasons each.

You know I'm actually curious about, what's with the the Tardis changing? I've only watched the new Doctor Who stuff (2005- present), but from my understanding it only changes when the Doctor regenerates. But neither the Doctor or the Tardis was damaged in the angels in manhattan episode. Any one have any theories?

The TARDIS changes when the Doctor switches main control room. As the TARDIS mentioned in "The Doctor's Wife" she stores all the control rooms he doesn't use, even the ones he hasn't used yet.

Yeah... I got to the end of the the Snowmen and was literally swearing at the screen... "****** Moffat, you'd done it to us again!!!". Loved it though, loved Jenna and love the TARDIS returning to more tech than 'spare parts'. I even kinda liked the revamped title theme... bit 'cleaner' but still very cool!

What I don't understand is, why exactly did the Tardis change? The explanation for the change between the previous one and the one from right at the beginning with Christopher Eccleston was that it crashed and had to rebuild itself, but no reason was ever given for this latest change.

Metaphorically, the doctor died when he lost amy and rory. He wanted to put that part behind him. Like Vastra said, he isolated himself from anything that could bring back the pain of loss.

I may be newish to Doctor who but i think the ponds served their time well. I think you may be misinterpreting your angst for the ponds when its really just angst for moffat. had RTD written season 5 6 and 7 i think the ponds would have been loved as much as donna or rose
